AbstractPhysicians, hospital administrators and trustees, other health care service managers, Blue Cross-Blue Shield plans, HSAs, government, and business corporations can participate in management of the health care system as a whole in order to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and to control health care costs. This participation can include many activities, such as education about management problems and methods, use of shared services and management improvement programs, implementation of incentive reimbursement, and promotion of hospitals' interaction at the local level.
