Point of care lung ultrasound (POCUS) has been recently used to assess prognosis in COVID-19 patients. However, there are no data comparing POCUS and chest-X ray, a technique widely used. ⋯ Chest X-ray and POCUS showed no correlation at admission in this analysis. Only POCUS identified a group of patients with greater clinical and analytical involvement. POCUS improved, previous clinical model, while chest X-ray did not add relevant predictive information for the primary endpoint.

Genicular artery embolization emerges as an innovative technique described for the treatment of refractory pain in patients with knee osteoarthritis. This review summarizes the available data on the efficacy of genicular artery embolization in patients with knee osteoarthritis (OA) and refractory pain as an alternative treatment or associated with pharmacological treatment. ⋯ Genicular artery embolization is a possible and potentially very effective alternative in the treatment of chronic refractory pain in patients with knee OA, without serious complications. All studies conclude in favor of embolization of the genicular arteries in the treatment of chronic refractory pain in patients with knee OA.

Sexual behavior and drug use impact in gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men.
The emergence of chemsex has raised several concerns about gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men's (GBMSM) health. In this study we aim to analyze illicit drugs and chemsex use, sexual behavior and sexually transmitted infections (STI) in GBMSM who attended to a sexual health clinic and to explore any potential association between drug use and STI. ⋯ The prevalence of drug use and chemsex was high among GBMSM in Barcelona. Chemsex was associated with group sex, taking PrEP, and contracting syphilis, gonorrhea, and HIV.

Prevalence of autoimmune diseases in patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus. DIACAM 1 study 2010-2020.
To evaluate the prevalence of autoimmune diseases (AD) associated with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM). ⋯ After 10 years of follow-up, there is a substantial increase in other types of AE in patients with DM1. It seems necessary to carry out a systematic screening of these AD to optimize the follow-up of patients with 1 TDM, mainly of the ATD.
