Comparative StudyLong-segment posterior instrumentation and fusion with freeze-dried allograft in congenital scoliosis.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of long-segment posterior instrumentation and allograft application in obtaining fusion in congenital scoliosis. ⋯ The usage of allograft alone to achieve fusion increases the rates of pseudarthrosis while additional anterior procedure decreases the pseudarthrosis rate in patients with congenital scoliosis that require long-segment posterior instrumentation. Further studies should be performed to assess the efficacy of the usage of polysegment pedicle screw instrumentation.

Comparative StudyComparison of reduction methods in intramedullary nailing of subtrochanteric femoral fractures.
The aim of this study was to compare the outcomes of three reduction methods used during intramedullary nailing of the subtrochanteric femur fractures. ⋯ Clamp-assisted reduction leads to a longer time to weight-bearing and a poorer functional status at one year. Operation time and fluoroscopy time were longest in the blocking screw group.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative StudyEvaluation of injection techniques in the treatment of lateral epicondylitis: a prospective randomized clinical trial.
We aimed to compare the efficacy of two different injection techniques of local corticosteroid and local anesthetic in the management of lateral epicondylitis. ⋯ Long-term clinical success in the treatment of lateral epicondylitis depends on the injection method. The peppering technique appears to be more effective than the single injection technique in the long-term.

Comparative StudyComparison of dorsal and volar percutaneous screw fixation methods in acute Type B scaphoid fractures.
In this study, we aimed to compare the clinical and functional results of patients treated with dorsal or volar percutaneous screw fixation for acute scaphoid fractures. ⋯ The surgical approach does not affect the clinical and functional outcomes in percutaneous screw fixation of Type B scaphoid fractures. Percutaneous fixation is a valuable treatment method for Type B scaphoid fractures as it enables early wrist motion and high patient satisfaction.

Early mobilization with customized TLSO brace in thoracolumbar burst fractures.
This study aimed to research the effectiveness of customized thoracolumbosacral orthosis treatment for stable burst type thoracolumbar vertebral fractures without neurological deficits. ⋯ The conservative treatment of stable thoracolumbar burst fractures is widely accepted. Early mobilization with customized TLSO brace appears to produce effective functional results despite loss of vertebral body height.
