Religion and sociodemographic characteristics at baseline of the Brazilian Longitudinal Study of Adult Health study.
The aim of this study was to investigate whether sex, age, race, income, education, and marital status are associated with having a religion in a sample of Brazilian men and women. ⋯ This study suggests that education is one of the most important socioeconomic characteristics to consider when studying religion. Race, sex, income, and marital status are also important factors; however, there was not a clear association between religion and age.

Observational StudyImpact of anthro-metabolic indices and gestational weight gain on maternal and neonatal outcomes: a prospective observational study.
The aim of this study was to examine the relationship of anthro-metabolic indices on maternal and neonatal outcomes. ⋯ The study demonstrated a significant association between gestational weight gain and cesarean delivery, prolonged hospital stay, and macrosomia. It was also found that maternal body mass index, waist circumferences, and hip circumferences during pregnancy were associated with macrosomia. On the contrary, no significant relationship was found between maternal anthro-metabolic characteristics and maternal-fetal and birth outcomes.

Olfactory and taste disorders in COVID-19: a cross-sectional study in primary health care.
The objective of this study was to describe the occurrence of self-reported olfactory and taste disorders in non-hospitalized Brazilian adults who presented severe acute respiratory syndrome-related coronavirus 2 infection symptoms and attended primary health care. ⋯ Self-reported olfactory and taste disorders are highly common among non-hospitalized severe acute respiratory syndrome-related coronavirus 2-positive Brazilian people who attended the Family Health Care Unit. The co-occurrence of both self-reported olfactory and taste disorders was more frequent than self-reported olfactory or taste disorders alone.

Quality of sleep and excessive daytime sleepiness among medical students in a Brazilian private university.
The aim of this study was to assess medical students' quality of sleep and excessive daytime sleepiness in different graduation cycles. ⋯ About half of the medical students experience poor sleep quality and daytime sleepiness, regardless of the graduation cycle. This should trigger a targeted institutional intervention to promote better mental and physical health, as well as sleep hygiene, to reduce future health issues.

Is polycystic ovary syndrome a risk factor for depression and anxiety?: a cross-sectional study.
The objective of this study was to learn more about the prevalence and pathophysiology of depression and anxiety that may be caused by polycystic ovary syndrome and to make plans for taking necessary precautions for this vulnerable group. ⋯ It is clear that depression and anxiety are more common in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome than in healthy women. Our findings support previous recommendations regarding routine screening for depression and anxiety in this population.
