Multicenter StudyAbnormal uterine bleeding in reproductive age: a comparative analysis between the five Brazilian geographic regions.
This study aimed to comparatively evaluate the presence of abnormal uterine bleeding and associated factors among women from the five official Brazilian geographic regions. ⋯ The prevalence of abnormal uterine bleeding in Brazilian women was higher in the North and Northeast, followed by the Southeast, South, and Central-West regions. There was a worsening of quality of life during menstruation regardless of the woman's self-perception of abnormal uterine bleeding. Such results can direct the actions of health managers toward a better approach to abnormal bleeding.

Multicenter StudyAn international multi-institutional analysis of operative morbidity in patients undergoing elective diverticulitis surgery.
We investigated surgical complications of elective surgery for diverticulitis in international multi-institution to identify a prediction model for potential opportunities of quality improvement. ⋯ Regarding the major and minor complications of diverticulitis of elective surgery, the malnutrition and higher American Society of Anesthesiology score showed higher impact among the quality improvement initiatives.

Multicenter StudyPrevalence of COVID-19 in medical school and residency in Porto Alegre, RS.
A multicentric, cross-sectional study was carried out to determine the prevalence and risk factors for Coronavirus disease 2019 in medical students and residents from four universities and affiliated hospitals in Brazil. ⋯ Medical students, interns, and residents have a higher prevalence of Coronavirus disease 2019 than the general population, in which the last two groups are significantly at higher risk. Contacting patients at a higher weekly frequency increases the risk for infection. The use of goggles should be reinforced when contacting patients.

Multicenter StudyPredictors of mortality in patients less than 50 years old with coronavirus disease 2019: a multicenter experience in Istanbul.
The objectives of this study were to identify predictors of mortality in young adult patients with coronavirus disease 2019 and to assess the link between blood type and mortality in those patients. ⋯ SpO2 at admission was the best predictor of mortality in young adult patients with coronavirus disease 2019. The mortality rate was increased by cerebral vascular disease and chronic renal failure. Also, high C-reactive protein and low albumin levels were predictive factors of mortality. Moreover, blood type O was associated with a higher mortality rate than the other types.

Multicenter StudyLiver transplantation: survival and indexes of donor-recipient matching.
The aim of this study was to determine the prospective capacity and impact of donor risk index, preallocation survival outcomes following liver transplant, donor model for end-stage liver disease, and balance of risk on patients' 30-day survival after liver transplantation. ⋯ The 30-day survival is 79.76%, and balance of risk, survival outcomes following liver transplant, and preallocation survival outcomes following liver transplant are the good prognostic indexes. The cutoff value of 12 points has clinical usefulness to predict the post-liver transplantation results.
