To describe post-natal risk factors associated with death in Newborns (NB) with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) in a Brazilian reference center. ⋯ Prognostic indexes are an important tool for predicting outcomes and improving resource allocation. Post-natal risk factors may be more suitable for settings where antenatal diagnosis is not universal. Classical risk factors, such as prematurity, low birth weight, higher need for supportive care, and poorer prognostic indexes were associated with mortality in our CDH population.

To evaluate the efficacy of immunotherapy for GTN treatment after methotrexate-resistance or in cases of multiresistant disease, through a systematic review, as well as to present the first 4 Brazilian cases of immunotherapy for GTN treatment. ⋯ Immunotherapy showed effectiveness for GTN treatment and may be especially useful in cases of high-risk disease, where pembrolizumab achieves a high therapeutic response, regardless of the histological type, and despite prior chemoresistance to multiple lines of treatment.

To analyze aspects of sexual life and fertility desire among 46, XY DSD people, including those who changed their gender. ⋯ Fertility desire was shared among 46, XY DSD people, regardless of gender. Prenatal androgen exposure reduced the desire for motherhood in 46, XY women. 46, XY DSD people who changed from female to male gender presented similar sexual parameters as those assigned as males. Among females, virilized genitalia at birth did not affect sexuality once the surgical treatment is completed.

To evaluate the inconsistency between clinical diagnosis of death and autopsy findings in adolescents with chronic diseases. ⋯ This study showed that 30% of the adolescents with chronic diseases had major discrepancies between clinical diagnosis of death and autopsy findings. Pneumonia, pulmonary abscess, as well as isolation of yeast and virus were more frequently identified at autopsy findings in the groups with major discrepancies.

Pain is associated with many circumstances, including inflammatory reactions, which arise from modification of the features of signaling pathways. α2-adrenergic receptor antagonists are widely utilized in narcosis. Here, the authors focused on the narcotic effect of A-80426 (A8) on Complete Freund's Adjuvant (CFA) injections-triggered chronic inflammation pain in WT and TRPV1-/- mice and explored whether its antinociceptive impact was modulated via Transient Receptor Potential Vanilloid 1 (TRPV1). ⋯ Together, A8 exerted a narcotic impact on CFA-supplemented mice via the TRPV1-modulated NFκB and PI3K pathway.
