Benefits of using a support bra in women undergoing coronary artery bypass graft surgery: A randomized trial.
Approximately 30 % of cardiac surgeries are conducted on women by median sternotomy, which often causes discomfort such as pain, affects quality of life, and delayed recovery compared with men. Breast size is related to operative wound complications, such as incisional pain, sternum dehiscence, and infection, which may affect hospital costs due to prolonged hospital stays. ⋯ The use of surgical support did not affect acute pain or sternal infection rate in the 6-month follow-up. However, it was effective in the functional capacity domain 30 days after surgery and maintained at 60 days.

Structured respiratory physiotherapy protocol for resolution of atelectasis in pediatric intensive care.
Children are at higher risk of atelectasis due to their anatomical and physiological particularities. Several physiotherapy techniques are used to treat atelectasis, but only four studies cite methods in pediatric patients undergoing Invasive Mechanical Ventilation (IMV). The objective of this study was to evaluate the Structured Respiratory Physiotherapy Protocol (SRPP) for airway clearance and lung reexpansion for infants on IMV with atelectasis. ⋯ There were large within-group effects on the reduction of WD in the CG after intervention in both the CG (Hedges' g = -1.53) and IG (Hedges' g = -2.2). There was a moderate effect on LUS reduction in the CG (Hedges' g = -0.64) and a large effect on IG (Hedges' g = -1.88). This study has shown that the SRPP appears to be safe and may be effective in improving airway clearance and lung reexpansion in children on IMV with atelectasis.

Microablative fractional radiofrequency for sexual dysfunction and vaginal Trophism: A randomized clinical trial.
To evaluate Microablative Fractional Radiofrequency (MAFRF) as a possible option in treating vaginal atrophy. ⋯ Radiofrequency was comparable in efficacy to estrogen administration for treating vulvovaginal atrophy. It deserves consideration as a viable option in managing this condition.

Prediction of intensive care admission and hospital mortality in COVID-19 patients using demographics and baseline laboratory data.
Optimized allocation of medical resources to patients with COVID-19 has been a critical concern since the onset of the pandemic. ⋯ The authors developed and validated prognostic scores that use readily available clinical and laboratory information to predict ICU admission and mortality in COVID-19. These scores can become valuable tools to support clinical decisions and improve the allocation of limited health resources.

Stroke in children and adolescents: Analysis of electrophysiological and behavioral assessment findings of auditory processing.
This study aimed to analyze the auditory processing behavior of children and adolescents diagnosed with stroke and compare it with that of typically developing individuals. ⋯ This study showed that children and adolescents with stroke performed worse in electrophysiological and behavioral tests of auditory processing assessed using the auditory evoked potentials. These data reinforce the hypothesis that stroke-related lesions compromise the neural mechanisms underlying auditory processing.
