Randomized Controlled TrialRAHelp: an online intervention for individuals with rheumatoid arthritis.
To test an intervention for improving self-management in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) using an online, cognitive-behavioral, self-management group program (RAHelp), with weekly telephone support. ⋯ RAHelp appears to have beneficial effects in terms of self-efficacy and quality of life among individuals with RA who are willing to use an online service format.

Association of systemic lupus erythematosus with a higher risk of cervical but not trochanteric hip fracture: a nationwide population-based study.
To determine the incidence rates and risk factors of cervical and trochanteric hip fractures (HFs) among patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) based on a nationwide population-based data set. ⋯ SLE is associated with a higher risk for cervical but not trochanteric HF, and these 2 types of HFs have different risk factors.

Multicenter StudyImpact of etanercept on work and activity impairment in employed moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis patients in the United States.
To quantify the impact of etanercept on work and activity impairment in employed US patients with moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis (RA). ⋯ In US employed moderate to severe RA patients, etanercept led to significant reductions in overall work and activity impairment; the value of increased work productivity partially or completely offset the cost of treatment.

Relationship between fatigue and subsequent physical activity among older adults with symptomatic osteoarthritis.
Although it has been well established that fatigue is common among older adults with osteoarthritis (OA), relatively little is known about how fatigue in daily life affects physical activity. The purposes of this study were to examine the relationship between momentary fatigue and subsequent physical activity among people with OA who reported clinically relevant levels of fatigue and to examine moderators of this relationship. ⋯ Momentary fatigue is a robust and important variable associated with decreased physical activity. Further, the moderating effect of functional mobility suggests this factor should be considered when intervening on fatigue. While people with better functional mobility may benefit from an activity-based treatment approach (such as learning activity pacing techniques to reduce the impact of fatigue on activity), those with worse functional mobility may benefit from treatment focusing on underlying impairments.

Dimensionality, reliability, and validity of the revised fibromyalgia impact questionnaire in two Spanish samples.
The present study attempted to fill a research gap by performing the first dimensionality analysis of the Revised Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire (FIQR) using exploratory and confirmatory techniques. A second objective was to report on the reliability and construct validity of the FIQR in Spanish patients. ⋯ Our results indicate that the Spanish version of the FIQR has a complex factor structure, has excellent reliability, and shows good construct validity.
