Efficacy of Acupuncture Is Noninferior to Nicotine Replacement Therapy for Tobacco Cessation: Results of a Prospective, Randomized, Active-Controlled Open-Label Trial.
We designed and conducted this multicenter randomized active-controlled open-label trial to evaluate the efficacy of acupuncture, auricular point pressing, and nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) on tobacco cessation in the Chinese population. ⋯ We found acupuncture was safe and a possible treatment for tobacco cessation, but it requires further study to establish its role.

Community-acquired Pneumonia Visualized on Computed Tomography but Not Chest X-Ray: Pathogens, Severity, and Clinical Outcomes.
The clinical significance of pneumonia visualized on CT scan in the setting of a normal chest radiograph is uncertain. ⋯ Adults hospitalized with CAP who had radiological evidence of pneumonia on CT scan but not on concurrent chest radiograph had pathogens, disease severity, and outcomes similar to patients who had signs of pneumonia on chest radiography. These findings support using the same management principles for patients with CT-only pneumonia and those with pneumonia seen on chest radiography.
