Meta Analysis
Adjuvant bisphosphonate treatment in early breast cancer: meta-analyses of individual patient data from randomised trials.
Bisphosphonates have profound effects on bone physiology, and could modify the process of metastasis. We undertook collaborative meta-analyses to clarify the risks and benefits of adjuvant bisphosphonate treatment in breast cancer. ⋯ Cancer Research UK, Medical Research Council.

Review Meta Analysis
Percutaneous coronary interventional strategies for treatment of in-stent restenosis: a network meta-analysis.
Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with drug-eluting stents is the standard of care for treatment of native coronary artery stenoses, but optimum treatment strategies for bare metal stent and drug-eluting stent in-stent restenosis (ISR) have not been established. We aimed to compare and rank percutaneous treatment strategies for ISR. ⋯ None.

Review Meta Analysis
Risk of serious infection in biological treatment of patients with rheumatoid arthritis: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Serious infections are a major concern for patients considering treatments for rheumatoid arthritis. Evidence is inconsistent as to whether biological drugs are associated with an increased risk of serious infection compared with traditional disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs). We did a systematic review and meta-analysis of serious infections in patients treated with biological drugs compared with those treated with traditional DMARDs. ⋯ Rheumatology Division at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
