Observational Study
Cerebral oxygen desaturation in patients with totally thoracoscopic ablation for atrial fibrillation: A prospective observational study.
Epicardial radiofrequency ablation for stand-alone atrial fibrillation under total video-assisted thoracoscopy has gained popularity in recent years. However, severe cardiopulmonary disturbances during the surgery may affect cerebral perfusion and oxygenation. We therefore hypothesized that regional cerebral oxygen saturation (rSO2) would decrease significantly during the surgery. In addition, the influencing factors of rSO2 would be investigated. ⋯ Totally thoracoscopic ablation for atrial fibrillation caused a significant decrease in rSO2. There were positive correlations between rSO2 and PaO2, MAP, and BE.

For a long time, postoperative nutritional support for laryngeal cancer patients has depended on the gastric tube for enteral nutrition. Silica gel gastric tube is often used in clinical practice; however, the gastric tube placed in the conventional depth often leads to various complications in the stomach, thus damaging the nutritional status of patients and leading to the poor prognosis. ⋯ In this study, visual simulation scale and general comfort questionnaire developed by Kolaba, an American comfort nursing specialist, were used to evaluate the comfort level of the 2 groups of patients, including pain, acid reflux, upper abdominal burning sensation, and hiccup. Objective indexes such as height, body mass index, albumin value, electrolyte, wound healing, and pharyngeal fistula were used to evaluate the prognosis of the 2 groups of patients. The visual simulation scale can preliminarily judge the subjective feelings of patients.

Clinical Trial Observational Study
A prospective observational study to investigate the correlation analysis between neonatal hyperbilirubinemia and deafness gene: Study protocol clinical trial (SPIRIT compliant).
There are many studies on the relationship between serum levels of hyperbilirubinemia and hearing impairment. However, the mechanism of hyperbilirubinemia on auditory impairment is not clear. ⋯ In this study, we will combine gene sequencing with clinical indications of hyperbilirubinemia to find the loci suitable for high-frequency pathogenic deafness related to hyperbilirubinemia, so as to provide early guidance for deafness gene screening in children with hyperbilirubinemia.

Case Reports
Hiccups triggered by bladder filling after bilateral pontine hemorrhage: A case report.
A hiccup is myoclonus of a sudden involuntary contraction of the diaphragm. Hiccups have various causes, and brain stem stroke is one of the causes of central hiccups. Certain types of hiccups are caused by diseases that can be fatal. Therefore, it is beneficial for physicians to be familiar with the various cases of unusual hiccups. We report a case of hiccups triggered by urinary bladder filling in a brain stem stroke patient. To the best of our knowledge, previous reports have not described a similar case. ⋯ Bladder filling is suspected to increase the sympathetic tone and cause a hiccup reflex. Bladder filling could be a factor triggering hiccups in pontine hemorrhage.

Chronic low back pain (CLBP) is a clinically common and recurrent disease. However, many trials have shown that auriculotherapy (AT) can effectively treat CLBP. There are currently no systematic reviews of this therapy. The plan aims to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of this treatment in patients with CLBP. ⋯ CRD42020151584.
