Herpes zoster, is one of the most familiar skin diseases in conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis in 2018 showed that fire needle acupuncture can relieve the pain caused by herpes zoster quickly and prevent the outcome of postherpetic neuralgia (PHN), with little side effects. The purpose of this study is to update the systematic review with the latest evidence. ⋯ This study will provide the latest systematic review and meta-analysis of fire needle acupuncture for acute herpes zoster and prevention of PHN.

Traumatic arteriovenous fistulas (AVFs) of the pelvis are uncommon and present with a variety of clinical manifestations; their detection may be difficult. An endovascular approach is usually the first choice of treatment, because surgical intervention is complicated due to the location of the lesions. ⋯ AVF may occur as a complication of blunt pelvic bone fracture. A high index of suspicion, angiography, and prompt diagnosis resulted in the successful management of our patient who presented with risk factors. Furthermore, TAE using NBCA enables a minimally invasive and effective treatment of traumatic pelvic AVF.

Previous studies have reported that rehabilitation training combined acupuncture (RTA) can be used for the treatment of limb hemiplegia (LH) caused by cerebral infarction (CI). However, its effectiveness is still unclear. In this systematic review study, we aim to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of RTA for LH following CI. ⋯ INPLASY202070114.

PD-L1 - inhibitors in neuroendocrine neoplasia: Results from a real-life study.
Immune check-point inhibitors (ICIs) have changed our view on how to treat cancer. Despite their approval in treatment of many different cancers, efficacy of immune check-point inhibitors (ICI) in neuroendocrine neoplasia is limited and poorly understood. Established treatment options of neuroendocrine tumors (NET) and neuroendocrine carcinomas (NECs) are based on surgery, tumor-targeted medical treatments, Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy (PRRT), and locoregional therapies. ⋯ Four patients showed progressive disease. Of note, responses were observed both in PD-L1 positive and PD-L1 negative patients. Here, we discuss clinical courses of these patients in the context of available literature to highlight limitations and drawbacks currently preventing the use of ICI in routine management of patients with NEN.

Clinical application of next-generation sequencing for the management of desmoid tumors: A case report and literature review.
Desmoid tumors are rare myofibroblastic neoplasms characterized by local invasiveness and high rates of recurrence, and sometimes mimic local recurrence of previously resected malignancies. Previous studies have suggested that molecular profiling may be useful for the diagnosis of the tumors and risk stratification. However, the clinical utility of next-generation sequencing (NGS) for the management of desmoid tumors has not been established. ⋯ To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case reporting the clinical application of NGS and aggressive treatment based on the genotyping results for the management of a desmoid tumor. Our case highlights the need to consider desmoid tumors among the differential diagnoses when a pleural mass is encountered at a previous thoracotomy site. More importantly, molecular profiling using NGS can be useful for the establishment of a treatment strategy for this tumor, although further investigations are required.
