The survival benefit and safety of Impella support versus intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation (IABP) in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) complicated by cardiogenic shock were investigated in several observational trials that revealed mixed results. Thus, in order to provide new evidence-based medical evidence for clinical treatment, we undertook a meta-analysis to assess the efficacy and safety of Impella versus IABP in AMI complicated by cardiogenic shock. ⋯ Ethical approval and patient consent are not required because this study is a literature-based study. This systematic review and meta-analysis will be published in a peer-reviewed journal.

Mycoplasma pneumonia is a common disease in pediatrics, and macrolides is the first choice for the treatment. However, the increase of antibiotic resistance of macrolides makes it more and more complicated for clinical treatment. Due to the long term treatment of macrolides, it may increase the incidence of nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and other gastrointestinal symptoms, vascular phlebitis, liver and kidney function damage. Tanreqing injection, a Chinese herbal extraction injection, has advantages in the treatment of mycoplasma pneumonia in children, and it could improve the curative effect, shortening the course of disease, and reducing the side effects. Yet there is a lack of standard clinical studies to verify it, so this randomized controlled trial (RCT) will evaluate the efficacy and safety of Tanreqing injection combined with azithromycin in the treatment of mycoplasma pneumonia in children. ⋯ This study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of Tanreqing injection combined with azithromycin in the treatment of mycoplasma pneumonia in children. The results of this experiment will provide clinical basis for the treatment of mycoplasma pneumonia in children with Tanreqing injection combined with azithromycin.

Case Reports
Preoperative neoadjuvant targeted therapy with apatinib for inoperable differentiated thyroid cancer: A case report.
Though the majority of differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) patients have a good prognosis after careful and standardized therapy, approximately 13% to 15% of DTC cases show surprisingly aggressive behavior and invasion of the surrounding structures, and a few progress to unresectable diseases. In this study, we report a case of an inoperable locally advanced DTC patient who underwent a curative operation after treatment of preoperative monotherapy of apatinib in a short time. ⋯ Preoperative short term targeted treatment with apatinib for locally advanced inoperable DTC may become a promising neoadjuvant therapy that, can reduce the tumor size and decrease stage, thus making the complete and safe removal of the lesion feasible.

Multicenter Study Observational Study
Correlation of autopsy pathological findings and imaging features from 9 fatal cases of COVID-19 pneumonia.
We aimed to investigate the relationship of radiological features and the corresponding pulmonary pathology of patients with Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pneumonia. In this multicenter study, serial chest CT and radiographic images from 9 patients (51-85 years old, 56% male) were reviewed and analyzed. Postmortem lungs were sampled and studied from these autopsies, with a special focus on several corresponding sites based on imaging features. ⋯ Fungal and bacterial co-infections were also observed in 6 cases. Typical imaging features can be correlated with underlying pathological findings. Combining assessments of imaging features with pathological findings therefore can enhance our understanding of the histopathological mechanism of COVID-19 pneumonia, and facilitate early radiological diagnosis and prognosis estimation of COVID-19 pneumonia, which has important implications for the development of clinical targeted treatments and research related to COVID-19 pneumonia.

Deep venous thrombosis (DVT) is a relatively serious complication commonly seen in pregnant women, especially parturients with pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH), whose incidence of DVT is higher. Because it can lead to pulmonary embolism (PE) and endanger the lives of patients, it has been paid much attention in clinic. Nursing plays an important role in the prevention and treatment of DVT. Early posture intervention can prevent postpartum DVT in hypertensive pregnant women, which has certain clinical value, but there is no evidence of evidence-based medicine. This study aims to systematically study the effectiveness and safety of postural intervention on prevention of deep venous thrombosis of lower extremity in postpartum women with PIH. ⋯ DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/4NPKW.
