Case Reports
Multiple arterial and venous thromboembolism in a male patient with hereditary protein C deficiency: A case report.
Hereditary protein C deficiency has a high prevalence in Asian populations, being the important risk factor associated with thrombophilia. Traditionally, conservative medication is the first choice for patients with hereditary protein C deficiency. However, there are few reports on whether aggressive surgical treatment can be performed when patients continue to develop life-threatening ischemic symptoms after adequate anticoagulant and thrombolytic therapy. ⋯ Aggressive surgical treatment may be the effective attempt for life-saving when conservative treatment as the first choice had unsatisfactory results in hereditary protein C deficiency patients. The novel oral anticoagulants (NOACs) could be more suitable than warfarin for the treatment and prevention of recurrence in patients with hereditary protein C deficiency.

The pathogenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) can be divided into viral infection (VIR) and nonviral (NVIR) infection. Two types of HCC performed different tumor immune microenvironment (TIME) which directly affected prognosis of HCC. This study aimed to identify an effective 2 types of HCC prognostic gene signature that related to immune TIME. ⋯ The PI value of DEGs has significant correlations with neutrophils (R = 0.22, P-value = .029) and dendritic (R = 0.21, P-value = .036) infiltration levels in VIR group. However, in NVIR group, the result showed there were no significant correlations between PI and other 5 type cell infiltration levels (P-value > .05). The 11-gene signature in VIR and 12-gene signature in NVIR group selected based on data from the Cancer Genome Atlas database had a different correlation with immune infiltrating cells of HCC patients.

Deep brain stimulation (DBS) of the ventralis intermedius nucleus (Vim) provides a safe and effective therapy for medically refractory essential tremor (ET). However, DBS may be risky in elderly patients and those with ischemic brain lesions. Gamma Knife radiosurgery (GKS) is a minimally invasive procedure, but bilateral thalamotomy is dangerous. ⋯ Salvage Voa GKS after unilateral Voa DBS is a valuable option for very elderly patients and patients with ischemic brain lesions. We suggest that Voa GKS thalamotomy is as useful and safe a surgical technique as Vim GKS for dystonic hand tremor. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case report using salvage Voa as the only target for ET.

Myocardial strain features by 2D-STE during the course of fulminant myocarditis: Correlation with characteristics by CMR and clinical implications.
Myocardial strain analysis by 2D speckle tracking echocardiography could determine the left ventricular function. Our purpose is to investigate the global longitudinal strain (GLS) changes during the course of fulminant myocarditis (FM) and evaluate their correlation with cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR). Patients with clinical diagnosis of FM from June 30, 2017 to June 30, 2019 were screened prospectively. 18 survived patients (mean age 34 ± 18 years) who had two scans of transthoracic echocardiography and underwent CMR were included. ⋯ In comparison, GLS at admission were not correlated with CMR parameters of fibrosis and oedema in the healed stage. GLS by 2D-STE may emerge as a new tool to monitor inflammatory myocardial injuries during the course of FM. FM in the acute healed stage has the presence of both chronic fibrosis and oedema which are correlated with GLS, but GLS at admission can't predict the early recovery of myocardial inflammation.

Meta Analysis
The meta-analysis of the effect of 68Ga-PSMA-PET/CT diagnosis of prostatic cancer compared with bone scan.
68Ga-PSMA-PET/CT (positron emission tomography/computed tomography) is a promising method for prostate cancer (PC) detection. However, the ability of 68Ga-PSMA-PET/CT to detect malignant bone lesions, and whether this method is superior to the existing bone imaging methods are still lack of systematic analysis. ⋯ By comparing the diagnostic results of 68Ga-PSMA-PET/CT and bone scan imaging diagnosis methods, the 68Ga-PSMA-PET/CT has a higher SEN and SPE than bone scan, and it has a higher diagnostic efficiency for prostate cancer bone metastasis, which is worthy of clinical application.
