Congenital diseases have been reported to increase the incidence of depression, anxiety, and stress among parents. In this study, we aimed to investigate the depression, anxiety, and stress status in parents of patients with congenital clubfoot before and after treatment with the Ponseti method. A total of 20 patients diagnosed with congenital clubfoot at our clinic and treated with the Ponseti method were included in this study. ⋯ Moreover, there was a significant difference in the pre- and posttreatment mean DASS and depression scores of the participants in terms of the education level (P < .05). The pre- and posttreatment DASS and depression scores of the participants with an education level of primary school and below were lower than those of the participants with an education level of secondary and high school. Parents may be less concerned during this process if they are fully informed by the orthopedic surgeons about the treatment protocol and the near-perfect results of the Ponseti method as well as are counseled by healthcare professionals.

Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN) require greater attention from family caregivers as they present temporary or permanent physical, developmental, behavioral, or emotional issues. This demand for care generates overload and stress among family caregivers. So far, there is no study that gathers the available literature regarding the use of biomarkers to assess stress among caregivers of CSHCN. Hence, we aimed to synthetize and to assess the scientific evidence on biomarkers associated with stress in caregivers of CSHCN. ⋯ To the best of our knowledge this study, will be the first to synthetize and critically evaluate the scientific evidence on biomarkers associated with stress in caregivers of CSHCN.

High monocyte to lymphocyte ratio (MLR) values may be associated with the risk of active tuberculosis (TB) infection in adults, infants, and postpartum women with HIV infection. It may also serve as an indicator of the effectiveness of anti-TB treatment. Thus, the main aim of this study is to ascertain the accuracy of MLR for the diagnosis of TB and its role in monitoring the effectiveness of anti-TB therapy. ⋯ Generally, MLR can be considered as a crucial biomarker to identify TB and monitor the effectiveness of anti-TB therapy.

To systematically evaluate task-oriented training (TOT) on the improvement of gross motor function, balance and activities of daily living in children with cerebral palsy (CP). ⋯ Current evidence shows that TOT could effectively improve gross motor function, balance and activities of daily living in children with CP. Due to the limitations of the number and quality of the included studies, the above conclusions need to be verified by more high-quality studies.

Review Case Reports
Pegylated liposomal doxorubicin (PLD)-containing regimen as a novel treatment of monomorphic epithelial intestinal T-cell lymphoma (MEITL): A case report and review of literature.
Monomorphic intestinal T-cell lymphoma (MEITL) is a rare, aggressive peripheral T-cell lymphoma that arises from intestinal epithelial lymphocytes. Currently, MEITL lacks standard treatment options. Under the current treatment regimen, the median survival time for patients is only 7 months. Chemotherapy followed by hematopoietic stem cell transplantation may improve patient outcomes. New anti-lymphoma drugs, including chidamide and PEG-asparaginase, are being tested against MEITL. To our knowledge, there are currently no data on the pegylated liposomal doxorubicin (PLD) regimen for MEITL therapy.Patient concerns, diagnosis and interventions: We report the case of a 54-year-old patient diagnosed with MEITL who presented with abdominal pain and was treated with a cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, prednisone, etoposide regimen containing PLD. ⋯ It highlights 2 important clinical findings. First, for patients with MEITL treated with the cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, prednisone, etoposide regimen, PLD has fewer adverse reactions and better long-term survival than doxorubicin. Second, an early diagnosis is necessary for prompt treatment. We believe that this manuscript will be valuable to all the researchers who are interested in.
