Review Case Reports
An all-arthroscopic surgery technique for snapping popliteal tendon syndrome: A case report and literature review.
The incidence of snapping popliteus tendon syndrome, a type of lateral knee snapping, is not high, so making an accurate diagnosis is difficult. A proper treatment following an accurate diagnosis is essential for improvement. Very few cases have been reported of its treatment. ⋯ Snapping popliteus tendon syndrome is a disease that is hardly recognized due to its low prevalence and difficulty in diagnosis, and it requires close observation of the patient before surgery. The location of the tenderness and the snapping occurrence must also be carefully identified. Our procedure is an entirely arthroscopic technique; as it has the prominent advantage of a speedy recovery and easy rehabilitation, it could also be helpful to set treatment standards for this disease in the future.

Cataracts and age-related macular degeneration (AMD) are common causes of decreased vision and blindness in individuals over age 50. Although surgery is the most effective treatment for cataracts, it may accelerate the progression of AMD, so this study further evaluated the influence of cataract surgery for AMD through a systematic review and meta-analysis. ⋯ There is still a significant positive correlation between cataract surgery and increase the risk of worsening of AMD progression, and faster progression of early-to-late AMD found in cataract surgery with longer follow-up of patients.

Behavioral and neurophysiological experiments have demonstrated that distinct and common cognitive processes and associated neural substrates maintain allocentric and egocentric spatial representations. This review aimed to provide evidence from previous behavioral and neurophysiological studies on collating cognitive processes and associated neural substrates and linking them to the state of visuospatial representations in patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). ⋯ The present review suggests that impaired memory capacity is linked to impaired allocentric representation in MCI patients. This review indicates that further research is needed to examine how the decline in visuospatial attentional resources during allocentric coding of space could be linked to working memory impairment.

The objective of this study will be to evaluate the effect of intravascular irradiation of blood (ILIB) combined with myofunctional exercises for sleep bruxism in pediatrics. ⋯ Although local photobiomodulation (PBM), acupuncture PBM and physiotherapy have been studied in the treatment of bruxism, this is the first study to evaluate the effect of ILIB combined with myofunctional exercises for sleep bruxism in pediatrics.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Study on syndrome rules of stagnated heat in liver and stomach of non-erosive reflux disease based on microecology of tongue coating.
At present, the pathogenesis of non-erosive reflux disease (NERD) is still unclear, and proton pump inhibitors are the main treatment drug. However, the effect is limited. Traditional Chinese medicine treatment of NERD has advantages. Stagnated heat in liver and stomach syndrome is the most important traditional Chinese medicine syndrome type of this disease. Tongue diagnosis is an important basis for the diagnosis of stagnated heat in liver and stomach syndrome. The microecology of tongue coating suggests the occurrence and development of disease. The purpose of this study aims to clarify the regular changes of tongue coating microecology in stagnated heat in liver and stomach syndrome of NERD. ⋯ The results of this study will clarify the internal relationship between NERD stagnated heat in liver and stomach syndrome and the microecological changes in tongue coating.
