Femoral head fracture is a rare type of fracture commonly associated with hip dislocation. Femoral head fracture treatments include conservative treatment, fragment excision, open reduction, internal fixation, and arthroplasty. In cases of young patients, open reduction and internal fixation are preferred over arthroplasty. Pipkin type 2 fractures are treated with open reduction and internal fixation in most cases because the fracture line extends upward of the fovea and includes the femoral head-acetabular weight-bearing joint surface. However, if the fracture is severely comminuted or crushed, good results are difficult to obtain with open reduction and internal fixation. ⋯ We think this method "repositionplasty" will be a good treatment method for young patients with a large defect in the weight-bearing part of the femoral head who cannot undergo open reduction and internal fixation.

Vascular involvement manifests as aneurysms, stenosis, and arteriovenous malformations in patients with type I neurofibromatosis (NF-I). Aneurysms are rare; however, the renal artery is the most common site. Herein, we report a rare case of stent graft placement in an anterior tibial artery (ATA) pseudoaneurysm in a patient with NF-I. ⋯ Stent graft placement should be considered as another option for endovascular treatment in patients in whom coil embolization or surgery cannot be performed.

The aim of this study is to verify the functional activation in a patient with anosognosia for hemiplegia following left brain lesions. ⋯ We underlined an interest in the compensation mechanism that involved neural networks near brain lesions and some areas of the contro-lesional hemisphere, suggesting that the synaptic plasticity permitted an intra and inter-hemispheric reorganization of the cerebral system.

There is no evidence showing that the expression of procollagen C-endopeptidase enhancer (PCOLCE) is associated with human tumors, and pan-cancer analysis is not available. Based on public databases such as the cancer genome atlas, we investigated the potential role of PCOLCE expression in 33 different human tumors. PCOLCE expression in 11 tumors was significantly correlated with tumor prognosis and was a prognostic predictor for pancreatic adenocarcinoma, thymoma and CES. ⋯ PCOLCE is a potential predictor of small molecule targeted drugs and immune checkpoint inhibitors. Finally, we found by enrichment analysis that PCOLCE localizes to extracellular structures and the extracellular matrix and exerts substantial effects on tumors through the PI3K-Akt and AGE-RAGE signaling pathways. We have a preliminary and relatively comprehensive understanding of the role of PCOLCE in various tumors.

Early functional exercise plays a very important role in the rehabilitation and nursing care of children with fractures. We aimed to evaluate the role of temperament characteristics in the early functional exercise compliance in school-age children with limb fractures, to provide evidence to clinical nursing care. School-age children with limb fractures admitted to our hospital from January 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022 were selected. ⋯ The reaction intensity factor in the temperament characteristics of school-age children with fracture was negatively correlated with early functional exercise compliance (P = .007). Reaction intensity was a risk factor for early functional exercise compliance in school-age children with fractures (P = .004). Health care providers must consider the influence of temperament characteristics on compliance in school-age children with fractures, and take targeted nursing measures according to different temperament characteristics of children to improve early functional exercise compliance in school-age children with fractures, so as to improve the functional recovery and prognosis of children.
