Virtual reality (VR) is an advanced technique used in physical rehabilitation of neurological disorders, however the effects of VR on balance, gait, and motor function in people with Parkinson's (PD) are still debated. Therefore, the systematic review aimed to determine the role of VR on motor function, balance and gait in PD patients. ⋯ This systemic review found that the use of VR resulted in substantial improvements in balance, gait, and motor skills in patients with PD when compared to traditional physical therapy exercises or in combination with treatments other than physical therapy. Moreover, VR can be used as a supportive method for physical rehabilitation in patients of PD. However, the majority of published studies were of fair and good quality, suggesting a demand for high quality research in this area.

STROBE-GnRHa pretreatment in frozen-embryo transfer cycles improves clinical outcomes for patients with persistent thin endometrium: A case-control study.
The well-prepared endometrium with appropriate thickness plays a critical role in successful embryo implantation. The thin endometrium is the main factor of frozen-embryo transfer (FET), resulting in the failure of implantation undergoing FET. Hormone treatment is suggested to improve endometrium thickness; however, among the larger numbers of cases, it cannot reach the sufficient thickness, which leads to a high cancelation rate of embryo transfer as well as waste high-quality embryos. ⋯ Additionally, luteinizing hormone level in pretreatment group was consistently lower than conventional HRT group (P < .05). Our study revealed HRT with GnRHa pretreatment efficiently improved the endometrial thickness, therefore, decreased the FET cycle cancelation. It also elevated the embryo implantation rate and clinical pregnancy rate by improving endometrial receptivity.

Nursing performance is closely related to the success of hospital and patient outcome. Recently, the proportion of male nurses has gradually increased. However, we do not know how these male nurses perform in clinical work. The purpose of this study was to understand the job performance of male nurses in China and to identify their risk factors. ⋯ Chinese male nurses are younger and have shorter working years. They mainly work in departments with higher work intensity and greater pressure. In addition, we found that years of service, education, marital status, department and main reasons for choosing nursing as factors influencing the job performance of male nurses.

The impact of a multispecialty operative team on colorectal cancer surgery: A retrospective study from a would-be medical center in Taiwan.
Some studies showed that when distant metastasis or locally advanced tumors were observed, the participation of 2 or more operating surgeons (combined surgery) in the operation could improve the prognosis of patients. The multispecialty operative team would perform combined surgery in colon cancer patients with some complications since 2015. The goal of this study is to confirm performing combined surgery would improve the outcomes of colon cancer patients. ⋯ Patients in the NC_1S group had significantly higher 12-, 24-, and 36-month OS rates compared to those in the C_1S group (P < .01). In contrast, there was no significant difference in overall survival among patients in the NC_1S and C_2S group (P =.15). The quality of surgery must be impact the prognosis, especially in the individual who was complicated case, the survival in patients who had surgery performed by multispecialty operative team would be improved.

To observe the efficacy and safety of a combination of intense pulsed light (IPL) with advanced optimal pulse technology (AOPT) and human-like collagen repair dressing in the treatment of melasma. Ten patients with melasma were treated using IPL with AOPT once a month for a total of 8 times, and received the treatment of external human-like collagen repair dressing after each operation. The efficacy was evaluated with the modified Melasma Area Severity Index (mMASI) score and satisfaction score, respectively, before treatment, after each treatment and at 4 months after the end of the whole treatment course. ⋯ The mMASI score was (3.3 ± 2.2) points at 4 months after the end of whole treatment course, and there was no significant difference in mMASI score between after 8 times of treatments and 4 months after the end of whole treatment course (P > .05). The satisfaction score was (7.2 ± 1.4) points after 8 times of treatments and (7.1 ± 1.4) points at 4 months after the end of whole treatment course, there was no significant difference in satisfaction score between after 8 times of treatments and 4 months after the end of whole treatment course (P > .05). A combination of IPL with AOPT and human-like collagen repair dressing can effectively decrease the severity of melasma, and is associated with a higher patient satisfaction score and a lower risk of relapse after discontinuation of treatment.
