Staphylococcus argenteus (S argenteus) is a novel and emerging species that is part of the Staphylococcus aureus (S aureus) complex. Fatal cases of bloodstream infection caused by S argenteus are rarely reported and should be considered in medical practice. ⋯ The patient had long-term heavy drinking and smoking as well as chronic malnutrition, which may account for his immune deficiency. The immunocompromised people are more vulnerable to infection by S argenteus and then develop bacteremia. The use of piperacillin/tazobactam may have contributed to the patient death.

Intentional replantation and dental autotransplantation of mandibular posterior teeth: Two case reports.
Intentional replantation and dental autotransplantation are 2 similar techniques both involving atraumatic tooth extraction, visualization of the root, and replantation. They are considered as the last resort for unsalvageable teeth. The author aims to describe 2 mandibular posterior teeth with serious periapical lesions which are resolved by intentional replantation and dental autotransplantation, respectively. ⋯ These 2 reports present the successful management of intentional replantation and dental autotransplantation. Both procedures are recommended after nonsurgical endodontic treatment, especially when apical microsurgery is not an option, for example because of difficult accessibility or patient preference.

This study aimed to investigate the angelica sinensis - radix rehmanniae (AR) role in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), employing network pharmacology and molecular docking techniques for active ingredient, targets, and pathway prediction. AR active components were obtained through TCMSP platform and literature search. The related targets of AR and PCOS were obtained through the disease and Swiss Target Prediction databases. ⋯ AR can improve hyperandrogen status, regulate glucose homeostasis, and correct lipid metabolism and other physiological processes through multi-component, multi-target, and multi-pathway. Thus, it could play a significant role in PCOS treatment. The results of our study provide a scientific foundation for basic research and clinical applications of AR for the treatment of PCOS.

Anesthetic management for surgery in a nemaline myopathy patient with difficult airway: A CARE-compliant case report.
Nemaline myopathy (NM) is a congenital disease characterized by nonprogressive or slowly progressing muscle weakness and may increase the risk of anesthesia in case of respiratory muscle or cardiac involvement. Care should be taken to prevent respiratory failure after surgery. ⋯ This report highlights the safe performance of anesthesia induction and recovery in a case where anesthesia management is necessary for surgery in a patient of NM at a high risk of anesthesia-related complications.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a common degenerative joint disease and is closely associated with chronic, low-grade inflammation. Regulating ferroptosis by targeting ferroptosis-related genes may be a fast and effective way to delay the degeneration of OA. However, the molecular mechanisms and gene targets related to ferroptosis in OA are still unclear. ⋯ Additionally, results of prognosis analysis indicated that JUN might be a promising therapeutic target for cancer. GABARAPL1, TNFAIP3, ARNTL, and JUN may be predicted biomarkers for OA. The feature genes and association between feature genes and immune infiltration may provide potential biomarkers for OA prediction along with the better assessment of the disease.
