Eosinophilic granuloma (EG) - the most common form of Langerhans cell histiocytosis - occurs rarely, and manifestations with only rib and clavicle involvement are extremely rare. EG symptoms often include pain, swelling, and soft tissue mass. The clinical diagnosis of bone EG is complex, and the differential diagnosis includes Ewing sarcoma, tuberculosis, multiple myeloma, lymphoma, primary bone malignancy, and other osteolytic lesions. ⋯ In this report, we emphasize that the clinical presentation of EG in children is not specific. Furthermore, examining age, history, presence of symptoms, and the number of sites is essential to make a correct diagnosis, and a histological examination is necessary to confirm the diagnosis.

The breast imaging-reporting and data system (BI-RADS) grading has a great advantage in diagnosing breast diseases, but with some limitations. ⋯ The study demonstrates that BI-RADS can be used as an effective evaluation method in the diagnosis of breast diseases before invasive operation, and it has higher diagnostic accuracy if combined with pathological examinations.

The aim of this study was to investigate the crosstalk between autophagy and bladder transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) by autophagy-related long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs). A total of 400 TCC patients from The Cancer Genome Atlas were enrolled in this study. We identified the autophagy-related lncRNA expression profile of the TCC patients and then constructed a prognostic signature using the least absolute shrinkage and selection operation and Cox regression. ⋯ The Gene Set Enrichment Analysis results demonstrated 2 major autophagy-related pathways were significantly enhanced in TCC. And this signature performed a similar predictive effect as other publications. The crosstalk between autophagy and TCC is significant, and this 9 autophagy-related lncRNA signature is a great predictor of TCC.

Previous clinical trials have reported that the brain-computer interface (BCI) is a useful management tool for upper limb function recovery (ULFR) in stroke. However, there is insufficient evidence regarding this topic. Thus, this study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of verum versus sham BCI on the ULFR in stroke patients. ⋯ BCI may be an effective management strategy for ULFR in stroke patients. Future studies with larger sample size and strict design are still needed to warrant the current findings.

Amplatzer amulet versus watchman device for percutaneous left atrial appendage closure: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
The Amplatzer Amulet (AA) and Watchman devices (WD) are the 2 most frequently used devices for percutaneous LAA closure globally. ⋯ The AA was not superior to the Watchman device in terms of safety and efficacy. However, the Amulet occluder was associated with a higher incidence of procedure-related complications, and lower peri device leak.
