Infertility rates have risen in recent years, with diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) affecting 10% of infertile women, accounting for approximately 20% of ovarian disorders. This highlights the importance of exploring effective treatments for DOR. This study investigates acupoint compatibility rules in acupuncture and moxibustion therapies for DOR and premature ovarian failure (POF) using complex network analysis. It also provides insights into acupuncture and moxibustion approaches for managing these conditions. ⋯ Acupuncture treatments for DOR and POF primarily focus on the abdomen and lower back regions. Specific acupoints, such as rendezvous points, are frequently combined with distantly located points. These combinations are guided by therapeutic principles aimed at nourishing the kidney, strengthening the spleen, regulating liver qi, calming the heart, and promoting blood circulation.

As the elderly population grows, the number of joint arthroplasty surgeries is also increasing. Periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) is a postoperative complication that occurs in 1%-2% of the arthroplasties. Once it occurs, PJI is refractory to treatment. Similar symptoms of PJI, including joint synovitis and elevated body temperature, sometimes arise because of crystal arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or other inflammatory diseases. Precise diagnosis is essential for determining the optimal treatment strategy. ⋯ High fever and synovitis after joint arthroplasty do not necessarily indicate an infectious condition. Clinicians should be familiar with the occurrence of RS3PE, regardless of whether arthroplasty is performed.

Effectiveness of refined nursing intervention on postoperative recovery and respiratory function in lung cancer patients after thoracic surgery.
To evaluate the effectiveness of refined nursing intervention versus routine nursing care in improving respiratory function and facilitating their recovery in lung cancer patients after thoracic surgery. Total 75 primary lung cancer patients (average age: 55.3 ± 10.8 years) who underwent thoracic surgery at Tangshan People's Hospital from February 2024 to July 2024 were included in the study. According to the different postoperative nursing intervention, patients were randomized into control group (CG) and observational group (OG) for evaluating the effects of refined nursing intervention on pain relief, postoperative recovery and respiratory function. ⋯ Moreover, OG expressed higher satisfaction with nursing care compared to CG (P = .002). Patients experienced reduced respiratory function after thoracic surgery. Refined nursing intervention might facilitate patients' postoperative recovery and improve their respiratory function and general well-being, which would be beneficial for achieving patients' satisfaction and promoting positive interaction between patients and multidisciplinary team members.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a significant global public health concern. Several observational studies have examined the association between inflammatory cytokines and the risk of colorectal cancer, but the findings have been inconsistent. In this study, we employed a 2-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis, primarily using the inverse variance weighted approach, to investigate the causal relationship between inflammatory cytokines and CRC. ⋯ Additionally, colon cancer is associated with elevated levels of FGF-Basic (OR: 1.10, P = .028). Consistent results were also found in MR-Egger, weighted median, and weighted mode analysis. Our study presents novel evidence supporting the causal relationship between inflammatory cytokines and CRC.

Breast cancer is the most common and lethal malignancy among women worldwide. Cuproptosis, a newly identified copper-dependent cell death, is closely associated with cancer development. However, its regulatory mechanisms in breast cancer are not well studied. ⋯ Enrichment analysis showed immune-related pathways enriched in the low-risk group, which also had more immune cell infiltration, higher stromal component, lower tumor purity, and lower tumor heterogeneity. Finally, significant differences of half maximal inhibitory concentration were also observed between patients in high- and low-risk groups who received chemotherapy and targeted therapy drugs. These findings in our study may provide evidence for further research and individualized management of breast cancer.
