The non-HDL cholesterol to HDL cholesterol ratio (NHHR) is a newly developed metric that represents the ratio of non-HDL cholesterol to HDL cholesterol. Anemia is a prevalent public health concern affecting all age groups. Our purpose is to investigate the connection between NHHR and the prevalence of anemia, as well as to explore their potential interactions. ⋯ Alcohol consumption significantly affects the relationship between NHHR and anemia (interaction P < .05). Our study revealed that NHHR is inversely proportional to the prevalence of anemia in U. S. adults.

Case Reports
Complex pancreaticobiliary maljunction diagnosed by endoscopic ultrasound: A case report.
This case report aims to enhance understanding of pancreatobiliary maljunction (PBM) and promote more proactive treatment. ⋯ Endoscopic ultrasound is effective for the diagnoses of complex PBM and incomplete pancreatic divisum. ERCP with pancreatic duct stent placement and surgical procedure is reliable for relieving the patient's symptoms.

With the exacerbation of population aging in China, policies have been formulated to provide elderly medical care resources. However, research on the matching situation of these resources with the elderly population (EP) is relatively scarce. This study collected data on elderly medical care resources and the EP from various provinces in mainland China from 2011 to 2017. ⋯ The matching degree between elderly medical care resources and the EP in China urgently needs to be improved. Economic conditions have a significant impact on the matching degree. To better serve the EP, it is needed to increase investments in elderly medical care resources in the western and northeastern regions, and promote an increase in the matching degree by enhancing per capita gross domestic product and fiscal health expenditure.

Meta Analysis
No need for hip precautions after total hip arthroplasty with posterior approach: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Nowadays, total hip arthroplasty (THA) is one of the most successful procedures in the field of orthopedics and trauma. The posterior approach has historically been associated with a higher rate of hip dislocation. To reduce the rate of hip dislocation in the posterior approach, most orthopedic surgeons would recommend hip precautions (HP) for their patients postoperatively based on previous theories. However, recent randomized controlled trials have shown no significant difference in hip dislocation rates with or without HP, in contrast to previous theories. Based on these, this study conducted a meta-analysis of these randomized controlled trials to try to get qualitative conclusions. ⋯ THA with a posterior approach does not require hip precautions.

Review Case Reports
Giant cell tumor of proximal femur managed by extended curettage with fibular strut allograft using long intramedullary interlocking nail: A case report and literature review.
We first report a unique case of proximal femoral Giant cell tumor of bone, a subtrochanteric lesion associated with femoral neck and intertrochanteric involvement. We chose a completely new surgical approach to treat the primary tumor and preserve the hip joint. No cases of this type have ever been reported. ⋯ For young patients with imaging grade <3 who need limb salvage, fibular strut allograft and intramedullary nail-fixation are also an alternative treatment option for hip reconstruction after tumor surgery when the lesion involves the entire proximal femur.
