To explore the association between body mass index (BMI) and total lumbar bone mineral density (BMD) in adults. This study included 9927 participants from 2011 to 2020 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). The date on BMI, total lumbar BMD and other covariates were collected. ⋯ The BMI saturation value was 21.2 kg/m2 in the total lumbar BMD based on saturation effects analysis models. There was nonlinear positive correlation between BMI and total lumbar BMD with saturation effect. For adults, keeping the BMI at a reasonable value (21.2 kg/m2) would obtain an optimal balance between BMI and total lumbar BMD.

Leading scientists worldwide are recognized by their placement in the top 2% based on their career-spanning contributions, as categorized by the Science-Metrix classification. However, there has been little focus on the unique scientific fields and subfields that separate countries. Although the KIDMAP in the Rasch model has been utilized to depict student performance, its application in identifying distinctive academic areas remains unexplored. Our study uses this model to pinpoint unique research domains specific to countries based on the top 2% author data. ⋯ Despite trailing the US in global research achievements, China showcased pronounced expertise in specific scientific areas, such as the "Complementary & Alternative Medicine" subfield in 2022, when compared to China other subfields based on the level of academic performance (-3.09 logits). Future research could benefit from incorporating KIDMAP visuals to gauge other countries' strengths in various research sectors, expanding beyond the China-centric focus in this study.

This study aimed to investigate immune cell infiltration (ICI) in breast cancer tissues and its impact on the prognosis of patients. The whole transcriptome sequencing data sets of breast tissue (GSE126125, GSE190275 and GSE45498) were downloaded from Gene Expression Omnibus database. Data sets, including 281 breast cancer tissue samples and 59 normal breast tissue samples. ⋯ High infiltration of macrophage M0 and activated mast cells is associated with poor prognosis. Meanwhile, macrophage M0 and activated mast cells promote breast cancer progression. Low infiltration of resting mast cells is associated with poor prognosis, which inhibits breast cancer progression.

Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is a major cause of death and disability worldwide. The benefits of electrical stimulation in the treatment of respiratory dysfunction in patients on mechanical ventilation is unknown. Nevertheless, there is a dearth of evidence-based medical research concerning its clinical efficacy. ⋯ The findings of this research indicate that DESs have a positive impact on enhancing the rate of successful weaning and reducing the incidence of VAP. It decreases the duration of invasive ventilation and total ventilation time while also improving the mortality rate within 30 days. This therapy could offer a fresh alternative for respiratory impairment in patients undergoing mechanical ventilation.

Bone development and lung function are integral to child and adolescent health. Both influence an individual's overall well-being and potentially affect long-term health. Utilizing a comprehensive dataset from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, this study aims to elucidate the relationship between lung function and bone mineral density (BMD) in a representative sample of children and adolescents. ⋯ A significant positive relationship exists between lung function and BMD in the pediatric population. Recognizing this association is crucial for holistic health strategies for children and adolescents. This study underscores the need for integrated health monitoring during formative years, which can influence health trajectories as these individuals transition to adulthood.
