Implant-based breast reconstruction is an important method for post-mastectomy breast reconstruction. Currently, the most commonly used technique is the biplane technique. However, the high rate of postoperative complications, the inability of pockets to accommodate larger implants, and the expensive costs of biological mesh make the development of new surgical methods urgent. The triplane technique for breast reconstruction is an ideal candidate method. ⋯ The triplane technique for breast reconstruction after breast cancer surgery provides good implant coverage, reduces the risk of complications, and is cost-effective.

To observe the effects of early gastroscopy examination on cardiovascular event-related indicators such as heart rate (HR), blood pressure, and electrocardiogram (ECG) in elderly patients with acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding. ⋯ Early gastroscopy examination in elderly patients with gastrointestinal bleeding did not result in severe cardiovascular adverse events and was relatively safe. However, special attention should be given to the occurrence of cardiac arrhythmias.

Rifampicin, as a main chemotherapy drug treating brucellosis, is widely used in clinical practice. Rifampicin-associated ARF is not rare, especially in those rifampicin re-exposure patients. However, this was rare complication of severe renal involvement due to multiple factors including rifampicin, nephrotoxic gentamicin, and contrast medium, and few studies have reported it. ⋯ The case reveals that severe renal involvement due to multiple factors including rifampicin, nephrotoxic gentamicin, and contrast medium. Misdiagnosis and mistreatment can deteriorate the patient's condition. Renal function should be closely monitored in the susceptible patients. Early recognition can provide appropriate therapy to patients. If unexplained renal failure during the use of rifampicin, especially in those rifampicin re-exposure patients, rifampicin-associated ARF should be considered.

Situs inversus totalis is a rare malposition of organs that typically involves lesions in the respiratory, circulatory, or urinary systems. Cases of congenital hemivertebrae combined with situs inversus totalis are extremely rare and have limited reports. ⋯ For patient with spinal deformities combined with situs inversus totalis, surgery can be an effective treatment method. But we also need to be vigilant about the dysfunction of various systems.

Skin grafting is a common method of treating damaged skin; however, surgical complications may arise in patients with poor health. Currently, no effective conservative treatment is available for extensive skin loss. Mature adipocytes, which constitute a substantial portion of adipose tissue, have recently emerged as a potential source of stemness. When de-lipidated, these cells exhibit fibroblast-like characteristics and the ability to redifferentiate, offering homogeneity and research utility as "dedifferentiated fat cells." ⋯ Although challenges remain in achieving more effective transformation and definitive fibroblast differentiation, our trial could pave the way for a novel skin regeneration treatment strategy.
