The development and current state of hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) over the past 40 years are analyzed in this study, along with explored and discovered the hotspots and frontiers in the field, which serve as the foundation for future investigation. ⋯ The United States, China, Germany, Sweden and other countries attached great importance to the HFRS-related research. Moreover, the collaboration between authors and institutions in various collaborator clusters should be strengthened. In recent decades, investigations have focused on the study of viral infection and the clinical symptoms and pathophysiology of HFRS. Future research may concentrate on factors affecting host population distribution and density, such as vaccine development and meteorological factors pertaining to virus transmission.

Respiratory tract infections are prevalent and clinically significant in pediatric populations globally. However, pathogen testing often involves time-consuming processes, resulting in delays in diagnosis. To date, commercial testing machines, such as the FilmArray respiratory panel, have been proposed for hospitals. ⋯ The FilmArray respiratory panel provides clinicians with a rapid and useful diagnostic tool. The effect was quite good for virus detection, but not for bacteria. Given its limited adoption, the tool may not aid clinicians in the diagnosis of mild cases.

Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) could have a variable degree of adverse effects on pregnancy outcomes for both pregnant women and newborns. The purpose of the study was to explore the effect of GDM on pregnancy outcomes in advanced primiparous women. A total of 1076 advanced primiparous women were included between January 2020 and December 2022. ⋯ Among the GDM group, the women with poor glycaemic control showed a significantly higher incidence rate of polyhydramnios, hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, cesarean delivery, premature birth, low-birth weight, macrosomia, and neonatal intensive care unit admission was significant than the women with good glycaemic control (all P < .05). GDM was an independent risk factor for polyhydramnios in advanced primiparous women. At the same time, good glycaemic control in diabetics advanced primiparous women could reduce adverse pregnancy outcomes.

The purpose of this descriptive epidemiological study is to identify billiards-related injuries that presented to the United States emergency departments from 2000 to 2020. This is a study using secondary data from emergency departments from 2000 to 2020 and presented with billiards-related injuries. No applicable intervention, but the main outcome measure was a description of injuries sustained due to participation in billiards. ⋯ The most common cause of injury was being struck by a ball or cue, 39,705 (51.1%, n = 643). While the majority of injured patients were discharged home after evaluation, 2527 (3.2%, n = 45) of them required hospitalization. While a small number of billiards-related injuries presented to the emergency department in comparison to other sports-related injuries, some required more intensive treatment or hospitalization.

The use of immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) marked a revolutionary change in cancer treatment and opened new avenues for cancer therapy, but ICI can also trigger immune-related adverse events (irAEs). Here, we investigated the publicly available US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) database to gain insight into the possible association between immune checkpoint inhibitors and hypophysitis. Data on adverse events (AEs) due to hypophysitisfor nivolumab, pembrolizumab, ipilimumab, and atezolizumab were collected from the US FDA Adverse Event Reporting System from the first quarter of 2004 to the second quarter of 2021, and the signals for hypophysitis associated with the four drugs were examined using the reporting odds ratio (ROR) method. ⋯ The RORs of hypophysitis were 289.58 (95% CI 258.49-324.40), 171.74 (95% CI 144.91-203.54), 2248.57 (95% CI 2025.31-2496.45), and 97.29 (95% CI 71.28-132.79), respectively. All four drugs were statistically correlated with the target AE, with the correlation being, in descending order, ipilimumab, nivolumab, pembrolizumab, and atezolizumab. Nivolumab, pembrolizumab, ipilimumab, and atezolizumab have all been associated with hypophysitis, which can negatively impact quality of life, and early recognition and management of immune checkpoint inhibitor-related hypophysitis is critical.
