Cyclic and Torsional Fatigue Resistance of XP-endo Shaper and TRUShape Instruments.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the cyclic and torsional fatigue resistance of the XP-endo Shaper (FKG Dentaire, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland) and TRUShape (Dentsply Tulsa Dental Specialties, Tulsa, OK) instruments. ⋯ The XP-endo Shaper instruments showed a higher cyclic fatigue resistance and angle of rotation to fracture but lower torque to failure than TRUShape instruments.

A Cone-beam Computed Tomographic Study of Root and Canal Morphology of Maxillary First and Second Permanent Molars in a Thai Population.
Understanding tooth anatomy is crucial for effective endodontic treatment. This study investigated the roots and root canal morphology of maxillary first and second permanent molars in a Thai population using cone-beam computed tomographic (CBCT) imaging. ⋯ CBCT imaging is useful to determine root canal morphology. The prevalence of MB2 canals is approximately 60% and 30% in first and second molars, respectively. Furthermore, bilateral MB2 canals were commonly found. Our results can help endodontists to improve endodontic treatment outcomes.

Root Canal Filling Quality of a Premixed Calcium Silicate Endodontic Sealer Applied Using Gutta-percha Cone-mediated Ultrasonic Activation.
The aim of this study was to investigate the filling quality of a recently developed premixed calcium silicate-based endodontic sealer (Endoseal MTA) with a single gutta-percha (GP) cone technique compared with a resin-based sealer (AH plus) with warm vertical compaction. We also explored the effect of GP cone-mediated ultrasonic activation on the filling quality of Endoseal MTA. ⋯ Endoseal MTA performs best when used with GP cone-mediated ultrasonic activation. Furthermore, stereomicroscopic observation of sections of the specimens should be performed when evaluating root canal filling quality.
