Percutaneous lumbar pedicle screw placement aided by computer-assisted fluoroscopy-based navigation: perioperative results of a prospective, comparative, multicenter study.
Institutional review board-approved, prospective, multicenter, comparative study. ⋯ Use of Guidance reduces fluoroscopy and insertion times with increased accuracy compared with conventional fluoroscopic methods of percutaneous pedicle screw insertion.

Prospective cohort study. ⋯ The VITOM system for spinal surgery provides outstanding image quality and an ease of manipulation rivaling the OM. There were no statistically significant differences in mean operative room time, intraoperative complications, or total hospital length of stay when using this novel system in several common spinal procedures relative to the OM.

A community-based, cross-sectional study that is part of the prospective Korean Health and Genome Study. ⋯ The prevalence of LBP is comparable between these Korean community residents and other population groups. Risk factors associated with LBP included advanced age, female sex, squatting, the presence of osteophytes, joint space narrowing, and advanced Kellgren-Lawrence grading on lumbar radiograph.

Retrospective clinical data analysis. ⋯ The demographics, clinical presentation, and radiographical findings of OPLL of the cervical spine in Korean patients were analyzed, which could serve as a basis for further study on and treatment of OPLL. The classification method using plain radiographs has some limitation for disease treatment or prognosis. For the exact diagnosis and classification of the OPLL, computerized tomographic scan is more useful.

A case report. ⋯ Here, we reported the first case of acute lumbar spinal pseudogout attack after lumbar instrumented surgery. We recommend considering pseudogout before and after surgery.
