Prospective cross-sectional study. ⋯ The AIS cohort in our study demonstrated lower levels of eating psychopathology than healthy controls. Surprisingly, eating behavior does not seem to be affected by orthotic management. However, quality of life and self-body image could be impaired in scoliotic girls, especially when they practice physiotherapy exercises, whereas those who practice sport seem to be preserved in this regard.Level of Evidence: 4.

A cross-sectional analysis using T1 slope (T1S) and C7 slope (C7S) in asymptomatic individuals. ⋯ The normative values and age-related changes in C7S and T1S were analyzed. Both the C7S and T1S angles increased with age. The C7S angle was strongly correlated with the T1S angle, suggesting that C7S can substitute T1S on radiographic images.Level of Evidence: 3.

We retrospectively analyzed Spinal Instability Neoplastic Score (SINS) in 110 patients with prostate cancer operated for metastatic spinal cord compression (MSCC). ⋯ The SINS is helpful in assessing spinal instability when selecting patients for surgery, but it does not predict survival or neurological outcomes. Patients with a potential spinal instability benefit equally from surgery for MSCC as do patients with spinal instability.Level of Evidence: 3.

Retrospective case-control study. ⋯ Many medical comorbidities have less impact in obese patients than nonobese patients in predicting adverse outcomes despite increased rates of adverse outcomes in obese patients. These findings reflect the impact of obesity as an independent risk factor and have important implications for preoperative optimization.Level of Evidence: 3.

A Prospective Cohort Study of Dysphagia after Subaxial Cervical Spine Surgery.
Prospective observational cohort study. ⋯ Fusion surgery and increased CL after surgery were risk factors for development of dysphagia after subaxial cervical spine surgery. Cervical alignment change due to anterior and posterior fusion surgery can cause postoperative dysphagia.Level of Evidence: 3.
