Retrospective cohort study. ⋯ In this large series of 831 pediatric patients undergoing axial CT imaging, the rate of axial fractures was 5.4%. The majority of these fractures were managed non-surgically. Only 35.9% of fractures were identified on radiographs.Level of Evidence: 3.

Prospective cross-sectional exploratory study. ⋯ These data constitute the first comparison of DXA measurements with microstructural analysis of vertebral biopsies in patients with osteoporosis. Our results indicate that lumbar DXA neither qualitatively nor quantitatively represents microstructural bone architecture and is therefore not a reliable tool for the evaluation of bone quality in the spine.Level of Evidence: 3.

Observational, anatomical, cadaveric study. ⋯ We macroscopically and histologically clarified the fibrous bands connecting the cervical nerve to the zygapophysial joint capsule. The fibrous bands may help clarify the pathology of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy associated with the zygapophysial joints as dynamic factors.Level of Evidence: N/A.
