Observational, anatomical, cadaveric study. ⋯ We macroscopically and histologically clarified the fibrous bands connecting the cervical nerve to the zygapophysial joint capsule. The fibrous bands may help clarify the pathology of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy associated with the zygapophysial joints as dynamic factors.Level of Evidence: N/A.

Retrospective cohort study. ⋯ In this large series of 831 pediatric patients undergoing axial CT imaging, the rate of axial fractures was 5.4%. The majority of these fractures were managed non-surgically. Only 35.9% of fractures were identified on radiographs.Level of Evidence: 3.

Retrospective cohort study with propensity matched cohorts. ⋯ In this study, anticoagulation does not lead to lower rates of VTE events, but it increases the risk of symptomatic hematomas which require a return trip to the OR. While this was not a randomized controlled trial, we attempted to correct for this with propensity matching. Future randomized control trials would be needed.Level of Evidence: 3.

Basic science study of the relationship between spine pathology and the contractile ability of the surrounding muscles. ⋯ These results provide the first direct evidence of cellular level impairments in the active contractile force generating properties of spine muscles in response to chronic spine pathology.Level of Evidence: N/A.
