Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study
Lumbar disc arthroplasty with Maverick disc versus stand-alone interbody fusion: a prospective, randomized, controlled, multicenter investigational device exemption trial.
Randomized, controlled, multicenter, investigational device exemption trial. ⋯ The investigational group consistently demonstrated statistical superiority versus fusion on key clinical outcomes including improved physical function, reduced pain, and earlier return to work.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study
Segmental contribution toward total cervical range of motion: a comparison of cervical disc arthroplasty and fusion.
Prospective radiographic evaluation of patients that underwent cervical total disc replacement (TDR-C) or anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) for one-level cervical disc disease. ⋯ Compensation for the loss of motion at the operative level in ACDF is seen throughout the unfused cervical spine. Cervical disc arthroplasty, however, increases total cervical ROM compared with ACDF and maintains a physiologic distribution of ROM throughout the cervical spine at 2 years, potentially lowering the risk for adjacent segment breakdown.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Self-management of persistent neck pain: two-year follow-up of a randomized controlled trial of a multicomponent group intervention in primary health care.
A 2-year follow-up of a randomized controlled trial. ⋯ The initial treatment effects of a self-management group intervention were largely maintained over a 2-year follow-up period and with a tendency to have superior long-term effects as compared to individually-administered physical therapy, in the treatment of persistent tension-type neck pain with regard to coping with pain, in terms of pain control, self-efficacy, and catastrophizing.

Randomized Controlled Trial
The McKenzie method compared with manipulation when used adjunctive to information and advice in low back pain patients presenting with centralization or peripheralization: a randomized controlled trial.
Randomized controlled trial. ⋯ In patients with low back pain for more than 6 weeks presenting with centralization or peripheralization of symptoms, we found the McKenzie method to be slightly more effective than manipulation when used adjunctive to information and advice.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study
Tranexamic acid reduces perioperative blood loss in cervical laminoplasty: a prospective randomized study.
A prospective randomized comparative study. ⋯ TXA significantly reduced perioperative blood loss, primarily through a reduction in postoperative blood loss, in cervical laminoplasty.
