Intraoperative magnetic resonance imaging (IO-MRI) provides real-time assessment of extent of resection of brain tumor. Development of new enhancement during IO-MRI can confound interpretation of residual enhancing tumor, although the incidence of this finding is unknown. ⋯ New enhancement occurs in intraoperative 3T MRI in 16% of patients after brain tumor resection, which decreases or resolves on subsequent MRI within 72 h of surgery. Our findings indicate the opportunity for further study to optimize the postoperative imaging window.

A Proposed Grading Scale for Predicting Outcomes After Stereotactic Radiosurgery for Dural Arteriovenous Fistulas.
There are presently no grading scales that specifically address the outcomes of cranial dural arteriovenous fistula (dAVF) after stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS). ⋯ The proposed dAVF grading system incorporates angiographic, anatomic, and clinical parameters and improves the prediction of the outcomes following SRS for dAVF as compared to the existing scoring systems.

Usefulness of Noncontrast-Enhanced Silent Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA) for Treated Intracranial Aneurysm Follow-up in Comparison with Time-of-Flight MRA.
Flow visualization in time-of-flight magnetic resonance angiography (TOF MRA) is limited for treated intracranial aneurysms owing to magnetic susceptibility and radiofrequency shielding. ⋯ Silent MRA can be useful to evaluate treated intracranial aneurysms during follow-up without radiation exposure and use of contrast material. It is characterized by higher diagnostic performance and superior visualization for the treated site.
