Numerous scientific and medical domains have been revolutionized by nanotechnology, opening up unprecedented opportunities for healthcare applications. Among these developments, the creation of nanorobots for artificial blood components is a novel field of research that seeks to overcome the constraints of conventional pharmacological therapy. This review article provides a comprehensive overview of the nanorobotic artificial blood components and their therapeutic uses. ⋯ It goes into detail about their properties, functioning, and capabilities, which allow them to replicate the physiological activities of actual blood components. The article also assesses the clinical uses of artificial blood components in a variety of medical circumstances. It highlights their potential value in the management of certain blood-related diseases.

Efficacy of different routes of vitamin B12 supplementation for the treatment of patients with vitamin B12 deficiency: A systematic review and network meta-analysis.
This systematic review and network meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the three different administration routes of vitamin B12: oral, intramuscular (IM), and sublingual (SL) routes. ⋯ All IM, oral, and SL routes of administration of vitamin B12 can effectively increase the level of vitamin B12 without significant differences between them, as thought previously. However, the IM route was the top-ranked statistically but without clinical significance. We found no significant difference among studied administrated routes in all other CBC parameters and homocysteine levels.

The impact of ketogenic diet on drug-resistant epilepsy in children: A comprehensive review and meta-analysis.
The ketogenic diet (KD), characterized by high-fat and low-carbohydrate intake, is currently gaining widespread popularity as a treatment for drug-resistant epilepsy (DRE). In addition to the traditional ketogenic diet, several variants have been introduced to enhance compliance and flexibility, such as the modified Atkins diet (MAD) and the low glycemic index diet (LGID). These adaptations aim to provide patients with more manageable and sustainable options while harnessing the potential therapeutic benefits of DRE. ⋯ These non-pharmacological options improve the quality of life of non-responsive and non-surgical patients. The KD has emerged as a potential therapeutic approach. Further research is needed to address the limitations and investigate their long-term effects.

An extremely rare case of hypoglycemia with a novel mutation and review of the literature: fructose-1,6 bisphosphatase deficiency in an adult man.
Hypoglycemia is an uncommon clinical problem among non-diabetic patients. It requires systematic evaluation to determine the etiology. It may be related to critical illness, hepatic insufficiency, renal insufficiency, cardiac insufficiency, drugs, alcohol, cortisol insufficiency, growth hormone insufficiency, insulinoma, gastric bypass surgery, and paraneoplastic (insulin-like growth factor-2-related) immune-mediated or inherited metabolic disorders. We aimed to summarize the literature and present a case who suffered from hypoglycemia throughout his life and was diagnosed with fructose-1, 6 bisphosphatase deficiency in adulthood to attract attention to the rare causes of hypoglycemia in adulthood.
