Injury incidence in golf-a systematic review and meta-analysis.
There is a lack of comprehensive analysis of injuries in golf per exposure time. Thus, the aim was to report the pooled incidence of injuries in golf. ⋯ The injury incidence in golf is 2.5 injuries per 1000 athlete exposures (18 holes of golf). Reporting was limited as only one study reported injuries per exposure time in professionals, and in total, only seven studies were found. More research is needed in all levels and age groups to better estimate the injury incidence and associated risk factors in golf.

Risk of locoregional recurrence after breast cancer surgery by molecular subtype-a systematic review and network meta-analysis.
The prevention of locoregional recurrence (LRR) is crucial in breast cancer, as it translates directly into reduced breast cancer-related death. Breast cancer is subclassified into distinct intrinsic biological subtypes with varying clinical outcomes. ⋯ TNBC and HER2 subtypes are associated with the highest risk of LRR. Multidisciplinary team discussions should consider these findings to optimize locoregional control following breast cancer surgery.

The effect of Empagliflozin on echocardiographic parameters in diabetic patients after acute myocardial infarction: A systematic review and meta-analysis with trial sequential analysis.
Patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) are at higher risk of cardiovascular events, particularly acute myocardial infarction (MI). Sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) can improve cardiac outcomes among heart failure individuals, however, the effects on acute myocardial infarction remain unclear. This meta-analysis investigates the impact of empagliflozin in diabetic patients following acute myocardial infarction. ⋯ Empagliflozin initiation in diabetic patients following acute MI may improve echocardiographic parameters. However, empagliflozin might not be effective in heart failure prevention and optimal glycemic control in this patient population. Further large-scale trials are warranted to ascertain our findings.

This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to assess the effectiveness of nurses' psychosocial interventions for addressing sensory deprivation in intensive care units (ICUs). ⋯ In conclusion, psychosocial interventions aimed at reducing sensory deprivation in intensive care units exert beneficial effects on individuals, notably enhancing their level of consciousness and improving sleep quality.

The use of radiomic analysis of magnetic resonance imaging findings in predicting features of early osteoarthritis of the knee-a systematic review and meta-analysis.
The primary aim of this study was to systematically review current literature evaluating the use of radiomics in establishing the role of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings in native knees in predicting features of osteoarthritis (OA). A systematic review was performed with respect to PRISMA guidelines in search of studies reporting radiomic analysis of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to analyse patients with native knee OA. Sensitivity and specificity of radiomic analyses were included for meta-analysis. Following our initial literature search of 1271 studies, only 5 studies met our inclusion criteria. ⋯ Meta-analysis demonstrated the pooled sensitivity and specificity for MRI in predicting features of OA in patients with native knees were 0.74 (95% CI 0.71, 0.78) and 0.85 (95% CI 0.83, 0.87), respectively. The results of this systematic review suggest that the high sensitivities and specificity of MRI-based radiomics may represent potential biomarker in the early identification and classification of native knee OA. Such analysis may inform surgeons to facilitate earlier non-operative management of knee OA in the select pre-symptomatic patients, prior to clinical or radiological evidence of degenerative change.
