Multicenter StudyOsimertinib for patients with EGFR T790M mutation-positive non-small-cell lung cancer and a poor performance status.
Osimertinib is a third-generation epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) that is effective against EGFR T790M mutation-positive non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in patients who have good performance status (PS). However, the efficacy and safety of osimertinib for patients with poor PS is unknown. ⋯ Osimertinib therapy demonstrates promising efficacy and acceptable safety in patients with EGFR T790M mutation-positive NSCLC who have poor PS.

Multicenter StudyCarboplatin, S-1 and concurrent thoracic radiotherapy for elderly patients with locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer: a multicenter Phase I/II study.
We conducted a Phase I/II study of carboplatin, S-1 and concurrent thoracic radiotherapy (TRT) for elderly patients (71 years or older) with unresectable stage III non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). ⋯ Combination chemotherapy consisting of carboplatin plus S-1 and concurrent TRT had a promising efficacy in elderly patients with locally advanced NSCLC; however, radiation pneumonitis was frequently observed.
