Thymus is the site of T-cell development and is essential for the induction of self-tolerance, by deletion of autoreactive T lymphocytes (negative selection) and by generation of regulatory T cells. Defect of the selection mechanism of both types of lymphocytes lead to autoimmune diseases. ⋯ Animal models show that regulatory T cells injection or intrathymic inoculation of antigen lead to immunological tolerance in autoimmunity and transplantation. These novel strategies could be used in human.

Review of the literature on epidemiologic data of sarcoidosis and risk factors. ⋯ Patent sarcoidosis is revealed when concomitant environmental factors (infective agent, climate, country) and predisposition ones (race, sex familial aggregation) appear together and inducing, in each patient, a particular sarcoidosis.

A review of the literature about micronutrients status of Ile-de-France inhabitants. ⋯ Identification of the groups at risk favours a better adequacy of preventive action on micronutrient deficiencies in this population. However, the efficacy of prevention is to be determined. Controlled trials of micronutrients' supplementation may be useful to value the beneficial effects of micronutrient supplementation on the incidence of cardiovascular diseases and cancer.

Toxocariasis is a widespread zoonotic parasitosis that is frequent in France. It is due to the presence of larvae of roundworms belonging to the genus Toxocara in the human body. Clinical signs are often non-specific. The disease can be asymptomatic or can lead to death. Toxocariasis can be thought of because of clinical signs or presence of hypereosinophilia, but the diagnosis is made by specific serology. Since there is no consensus to date regarding treatment, prevention is of paramount importance. ⋯ Further studies on toxocariasis should focus on the prevalence of this disease in French population regarding the probability of infection: living in the countryside, food habits, hygiene and presence of dogs in the neighborhood. Tools of the biological diagnosis (mainly serological techniques) should be improved, but, especially, studies should focus on the evaluation of specific treatment in order to give unquestionable guidelines on this point.

Review Case Reports
[Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) antidepressants use in hot flashes in oncology].
Menopausal women or patients treated by chemotherapy or hormonotherapy for breast cancer have often disabled hot flashes. Men with prostate cancer confronted to castration can also suffer from the same problem. In both situations, many arguments go against implementation of estrogenic treatment. Albeit, many complementary therapeutics exist, they are often unsatisfying. ⋯ Through a review of literature and clinical vignette, we will specify physiopathology and prescription modalities in this new type of indication.
