Accurate prediction of post-hepatectomy liver failure (PHLF) is important in advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). We aimed to retrospectively evaluate the utility of gadoxetic acid-enhanced MRI for predicting PHLF in patients who underwent anatomic hepatectomy for HCC with portal vein invasion. ⋯ Gadoxetic acid-enhanced MRI can be a promising noninvasive examination for assessing global and regional liver function, allowing estimation of the functional liver remnant and accurate prediction of severe PHLF before hepatic resection.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the most important imaging modality in the diagnosis and follow-up of glial brain tumors. ⋯ 68Ga PSMA PET imaging is found to be particularly useful in differentiating Grade IV glial tumors from other grades. This finding is thought to be important in the differentiation the relapse with postoperative tissue changes, which is an important problem in the follow-up.

The goal of this study was to assess chest computed tomography (CT) diagnostic accuracy in clinical practice using RT-PCR as standard of reference. ⋯ In our experience, in a context of high pre-test probability, CT scan shows good sensitivity and a consistently higher specificity for the diagnosis of COVID-19 pneumonia than what reported by previous studies, especially when clinical and epidemiological features are taken into account.

So far, only a few studies evaluated the correlation between CT features and clinical outcome in patients with COVID-19 pneumonia. ⋯ Lung disease extension, assessed using quantitative CT, has a significant relationship with clinical severity and may predict the need for invasive ventilation in patients with COVID-19.

Image quality of the CAIPIRINHA-Dixon-TWIST-VIBE technique for ultra-fast breast DCE-MRI: Comparison with the conventional GRE technique.
The aim of this study was to evaluate image quality of the CAIPIRINHA-Dixon-TWIST-Volume-Interpolated Breath-hold Examination (CDT-VIBE) technique for ultra-fast breast dynamic contrast enhanced (DCE) MRI with respect to conventional Gradient-Recalled Echo (GRE) technique. ⋯ The CDT-VIBE sequence provides excellent spatial resolution and adequate image quality in ultra-fast breast DCE-MRI. Further improvement in PAT noise and internal structure blurriness may be necessary.
