The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of three-dimensional contrast-enhanced ultrasound in differentiating invasive and noninvasive neoplasms of urinary bladder. ⋯ Three-dimensional contrast-enhanced ultrasound imaging, with contrast-enhanced spatial visualization is clinical useful for differentiating invasive and noninvasive neoplasms of urinary bladder objectively.

To investigate the natural outcome and clinical implication of hypointense lesions in the hepatobiliary phase of Gd-EOB-DTPA-enhanced MRI. ⋯ Hypointense lesions that are detected in the hepatobiliary phase of Gd-EOB-DTPA-enhanced MRI have some malignant potential, although treating these lesions aggressively in patients who already have HCC may be too severe.

We performed this study to assess feasibility and additional diagnostic value of time-resolved CT angiography of the entire aorta in patients with aortic dissection. ⋯ Multiphasic, time-resolved CT angiography covering the entire aorta is feasible at a reasonable effective radiation dose and adds significant diagnostic information with therapeutic consequences in patients with aortic dissection.

To understand the current practice of interventional radiology (IR) morbidity and mortality (M&M) meetings among interventional radiologists in Europe, and to develop a set of results-based recommendations to increase the prevalence of IR M&M meetings. ⋯ The data demonstrate that although current practice of M&M meetings in European IR departments is limited, the majority of respondents believe that M&M meetings are beneficial to their practice. There is a need for guidelines or standards of practice to incorporate such meetings in IR departments to prevent medical errors, which may ultimately lead to enhanced patient safety and outcomes.

To investigate the prognostic value of perfusion defect volume (PDvol) at dual-energy-CT-angiography (DE-CTA) in patients with acute pulmonary embolism (PE) by correlating PDvol with CTA-obstruction-scores (OS), CT parameters of right-ventricular-dysfunction (RVD), and adverse-clinical-outcome. ⋯ The extent of perfusion defects as assessed by DE-CTA correlates with adverse clinical outcome in patients with PE. Therefore, volumetric quantification of perfusion defects at DE-CTA allows the identification of low-risk patients who do not require intensified monitoring and treatment.
