Randomized Controlled Trial[Spinal anaesthesia for Caesarean section: dose injection speed have an effect on the incidence of hypotension?].
To study effect of injection rate on spinal blockade and haemodynamic of spinal bupivacaine for Caesarean section. ⋯ Result of the present study suggests that a slow rate of injection would induce lower incidence of hypotension induced by spinal bupivacaine for Caesarean section.

Randomized Controlled Trial Clinical Trial[Remifentanil-midazolam compared to sufentanil-midazolam for ICU long-term sedation].
Remifentanil has a unique metabolic pathway that holds potential benefits for long-term sedation. We compared remifentanil-midazolam to sufentanil-midazolam in 41 critically ill adults requiring mechanical ventilation. ⋯ Sufentanil infusion needed to be reduced over time and prolonged the weaning time when compared to remifentanil.

Randomized Controlled Trial Clinical Trial[Analgesic effect of continuous intravenous nefopam after urological surgery].
To evaluate the efficacy of continuous infusion of nefopam. Indeed this analgesic is commonly used by continuous infusion by many anaesthetists to reduce its adverse effects. However whether the analgesic effect of an intermittent administration of nefopam has been proven, the efficacy of continuous infusion has not been established. ⋯ In this study, continuous administration of nefopam did not reduce morphine consumption nor ameliorate analgesia and thus may not be recommended in urological surgery. Nefopam pharmacokinetics when used with continuous infusion as well as surgery types and differences in age between groups may explain these results.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study Clinical Trial[Comparison of eight deep breaths and tidal volume breathing preoxygenation techniques in morbid obese patients].
To compare two techniques of preoxygenation, eight deep breaths (8DB) and tidal volume breathing in obese patients by measuring end-tidal fractional oxygen concentration (FETO2) and apnea time from 100% of hemoglobin saturation to 95% (T95%). ⋯ 8DB and 3TV preoxygenation techniques in morbid obese patients induce similar FETO2 and T95%. However hyperventilation effects in the 8DB group are unknown.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study Clinical Trial[Topical methylprednisolone vs lidocaïne for the prevention of postoperative sore throat].
We assessed the efficacy of topical methylprednisolone or lidocaine for prevention of postoperative sore throat. ⋯ Topical methylprednisolone may therefore be a useful adjuvant in the prevention of sore throat after intubation.
