[Ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia and the common classification of medical acts by the social security].
Ultrasound imaging is a major technological advance in the practice of regional anesthesia. For the social security, their rationale relies on the concept of a global medical act i.e., each medical act is worked out, in order to describe the realized medical act totally. At present the social security uses this concept to prevent the anesthetists from quoting a supplementary ultrasound act. In this article we discuss the legitimacy of quoting ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia.

Clinical Trial[Triple nerve block for ambulatory knee arthroscopy].
The purpose of this study was to evaluate intra- and postoperative conditions of the triple nerve block technique (femoral, obturator, sciatic block) for outpatient knee arthroscopic procedures. ⋯ We conclude that triple nerve block provided reliable intraoperative patient and surgical conditions for outpatient knee arthroscopy. Failed block (10%) was the major reason of supplemental anaesthesia. To increase surgical turn over under triple nerve block, a preoperative room may be required (block onset time).

[Design and evaluation of the quality of information written for scanner and magnetic resonance imaging in neuropediatrics].
We designed written information concerning two medical imaging techniques: the computed tomography scanner and the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and we evaluated the quality of the information in particular its readability. ⋯ Although readability scores for information sheets were low, our results suggest that they brought information, which contributed to a better understanding of these two medical imaging techniques by parents.
