Dietary intake and its contribution to longitudinal organophosphorus pesticide exposure in urban/suburban children.
The widespread use of organophosphorus (OP) pesticides has led to frequent exposure in adults and children. Because such exposure may cause adverse health effects, particularly in children, the sources and patterns of exposure need to be studied further. ⋯ The findings from this study demonstrate that dietary intake of OP pesticides represents the major source of exposure in young children.

Risk of erectile dysfunction induced by arsenic exposure through well water consumption in Taiwan.
Erectile dysfunction (ED) has a profound impact on the quality of life of many men. Many risk factors are associated with ED, such as aging, sex hormone levels, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, and diabetes mellitus. Arsenic exposure could damage peripheral vessels and increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. However, the relationship between arsenic exposure and ED has seldom been evaluated. ⋯ Results suggested that chronic arsenic exposure has a negative impact on erectile function.
