Two-Thumb Encircling Technique Over the Head of Patients in the Setting of Lone Rescuer Infant CPR Occurred During Ambulance Transfer: A Crossover Simulation Study.
The purpose of this study was to determine if the over-the-head 2-thumb encircling technique (OTTT) provides better overall quality of cardiopulmonary resuscitation compared with conventional 2-finger technique (TFT) for a lone rescuer in the setting of infant cardiac arrest in ambulance. ⋯ The use of OTTT may be a suitable alternative to TFT in the setting of cardiac arrest of infants during ambulance transfer.

Case ReportsPediatric Patient With Altered Mental Status and Hypoxemia: Case Report.
Childhood cases of myxedema coma are extremely rare. We report a case of a 5-year-old girl transferred to a tertiary care pediatric emergency department with hypoxemia and altered mental status and diagnosed with severe hypothyroidism and myxedema coma in the setting of acute influenza infection. Although it is rare, myxedema coma must remain in the differential diagnosis for altered mental status and organ dysfunction in the pediatric population.

Review Case ReportsA Case of Testicular Rupture Diagnosed by Point-of-Care-Ultrasound.
Point-of-care ultrasound is an expanding diagnostic tool in the pediatric emergency department. We describe a case of testicular rupture diagnosed by ultrasound at the bedside, which led to prompt surgical intervention and repair.
