A randomized clinical trial comparing three fixed combinations of bimatoprost with timolol in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.
To compare the efficacy and safety of two fixed combination, preservative-free eye drops (bimatoprost 0.01% in combination with either timolol 0.1% or 0.5%) in a gel formulation, with bimatoprost 0.03%/timolol 0.5% in patients with open-angle glaucoma (OAG) or ocular hypertension (OHT). ⋯ These study results suggest that the preservative-free ophthalmic formulation of T4030a (bimatoprost 0.01%/timolol 0.1%) can be regarded as a useful tool in the therapeutic management of OAG and OHT.

Early outcomes, associated factors and predictive values of clinical outcomes of tandospirone in generalized anxiety disorder: a post-hoc analysis of a randomized, controlled, multicenter clinical trial.
To examine the early outcomes, associated factors and predictive values of clinical outcomes of different tandospirone doses in patients with a generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). ⋯ The early outcomes of high-dose tandospirone in the treatment of GAD are better than those of the low-dose group. Patients with younger age at onset, milder anxiety symptoms and better physiological functions administered high-dose tandospirone showed rapid onset, great early outcomes, high recovery rate and good prognosis. Drug onset time had a good predictive effect on treatment outcome.

The 31-gene expression profile test informs sentinel lymph node biopsy decisions in patients with cutaneous melanoma: results of a prospective, multicenter study.
The 31-gene expression profile test (Class 1A: low-risk; 1B/2A: intermediate-risk; 2B: high-risk) is validated to identify patients with cutaneous melanoma who can safely forego sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB). The objective of the current study is to quantify SLNB reduction by clinicians using 31-GEP. ⋯ In this prospective, multicenter study, clinicians demonstrated clinically meaningful use of the 31-GEP test to forego or pursue SLNB in patients with T1-T2 tumors resulting in a significant, risk appropriate decrease in SLNBs.

Comparative efficacy and safety of two insulin aspart formulations (Rapilin and NovoRapid) when combined with metformin, for patients with diabetes mellitus: a multicenter, randomized, open-label, controlled clinical trial.
This phase 3 confirmatory diabetes mellitus treatment study compared the safety and efficacy of Rapilin and NovoRapid insulin asparts in combination with metformin. ⋯ Rapilin demonstrated non-inferior glycemic control, and matching safety and immunogenicity to NovoRapid in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus also receiving metformin over 24 weeks.

To identify population with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) who are more likely to benefit from switching to basal insulin (BI) treatment from premixed insulin. ⋯ The findings from this study proposed that FCP is an important biomarker to identify T2DM participants who experience improved glucose control without compromising on hypoglycemia levels during switch from premixed insulin to BI. Participants especially with FCP levels >1.2 nmol/L may respond better in terms of HbA1c reduction without increased hypoglycemia risk compared to those with lower FCP values.
