Effect of newer antihyperglycemic drugs on liver steatosis indices in patients with diabetes and obesity.
To assess the efficacy of sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitor (SGLT2i) and glucagon-like peptide-1 receptors agonist (GLP-1RA) therapy on liver steatosis measured by fatty liver index (FLI) and hepatic steatosis index (HSI) at 26 weeks in outpatients with diabetes and obesity. ⋯ Our results show a beneficial effect of the combination of GLP-1RAs plus SGLT2is on liver steatosis that goes beyond glucose control, and it is related mainly to weight loss, a decline in biomarkers and reductions in abdominal circumference. For many patients, early detection is essential to improving outcomes in NAFLD and could allow us to select the most efficient treatment options.

LBSA0103 is a recently developed high-molecular-weight, cross-linked, non-animal hyaluronic acid (HA). The safety of LBSA0103 has been investigated only in a limited number of patients, therefore this prospective study was designed. This study sought to assess the safety including injection-site reactions and adverse drug reactions after a single intra-articular injection of LBSA0103 in patients with osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee joint. ⋯ A single intra-articular injection of LBSA0103 in patients with OA of the knee joint was safe, and no significant safety concerns were observed. As such, LBSA0103 could be safely applied as an intra-articular injection for the management of knee OA.

A multicenter retrospective study on evaluation of predicative factors for positive biopsy of prostate cancer in real-world setting.
This study aimed to evaluate the predictors for positive biopsy in prostate cancer (PCa) patients and develop a risk-stratification score model for positive biopsy rate in patients with prostate specific antigen (PSA) in the gray zone. ⋯ Our study evaluated the significant predicative factors for positive biopsy and the PCa risk prediction model developed might help Clinicians to avoid unnecessary biopsy in patients with PSA in gray zone.

High treatment satisfaction in both patients and physicians is an important factor in improving quality of life in psoriasis patients. This study aimed to evaluate treatment satisfaction alignment between psoriasis patients and physicians and to identify factors associated with satisfaction misalignment, especially "physician-predominant" misalignment. ⋯ The results suggest that genital psoriasis plays an important role in treatment satisfaction from the patient perspective, and illustrate the importance of communication between patients and physicians which potentially resolves these factors and improves misalignment.

Achieving clinical response in postpartum depression leads to improvement in health-related quality of life.
To evaluate the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) burden associated with postpartum depression (PPD), determine the extent to which clinical response impacts HRQoL, and estimate the impact of PPD and clinical response on healthcare resource utilization (HRU) and productivity. ⋯ PPD places a substantial burden on HRQoL. Achievement of rapid clinical response (at day 7) and clinical response sustained several weeks following the end of treatment (day 30) led to significant improvement in HRQoL, suggesting the importance of identifying women with PPD and providing effective treatment options.
