[Informed consent: opinions of health care personnel from a teaching hospital].
To conduct a descriptive analysis of the opinions of health care personnel regarding different aspects related with the informed consent, and mainly the information given on informed consent forms. ⋯ Half of health-care professionals were unaware of what an informed consent consists of, its different sections, the law that regulates it and the philosophy underlying its development.

Multicenter Study[Prevalence of vertebral fractures in hip fracture patients].
Fractures are the clinical complication of osteoporosis. There are no previous studies that describe the prevalence of vertebral fractures (VF) in patients admitted into a hospital due to a hip fracture (HF). ⋯ Elderly women admitted to a hospital due to hip fracture have a very high prevalence of previously undiagnosed VF. Indeed, elderly women admitted into the hospital because of other diseases also have a high prevalence of VF. These facts must be taken into account due to the morbidity and mortality of VF, that increases the HF morbidity and mortality.

[Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in the setting of hospital at home. Study of 522 episodes].
To assess the effectiveness, respiratory status, services of origin and outcome of patient with exacerbated COPD attended in Hospital at Home (HaH) regimen. ⋯ Our data confirm that Hospital at Home is a good alternative to conventional hospital admission for the management of patients with exaxerbated COPD.
