Randomized Controlled TrialA Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia in Adolescents With Persistent Postconcussion Symptoms.
Cognitive-behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) is an effective insomnia treatment but has yet to be applied to adolescents with sleep disruption following concussion. This pilot study evaluated CBT-I to improve insomnia in adolescents with protracted concussion recovery. ⋯ In this pilot RCT, 6 weeks of CBT-I produced significant improvement in sleep in adolescents with persistent postconcussion symptoms. A larger trial is warranted.

Randomized Controlled TrialCognitive Rehabilitation With Mobile Technology and Social Support for Veterans With TBI and PTSD: A Randomized Clinical Trial.
To investigate effects of cognitive rehabilitation with mobile technology and social support on veterans with traumatic brain injury (TBI) and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). ⋯ This preliminary study demonstrated effectiveness of CALM for reducing emotional dysregulation in veterans with TBI and PTSD.

Randomized Controlled TrialPotential Impact of Amantadine on Aggression in Chronic Traumatic Brain Injury.
To assess the effects of amantadine on anger and aggression among individuals with a chronic traumatic brain injury (TBI). ⋯ Amantadine 100 mg twice daily in this population with chronic TBI appears to be beneficial in decreasing aggression from the perspective of the individual with TBI. No beneficial impact on anger was found.

Randomized Controlled TrialImpact of Early Follow-Up Intervention on Parent-Reported Postconcussion Pediatric Symptoms: A Feasibility Study.
To investigate the effectiveness and feasibility of early intervention telephone counseling with parents in limiting postconcussion symptoms and impacts on children and youth. ⋯ The findings suggest that the early counseling intervention strategy trialed herein may not be effective for children and youth who experience significant postconcussion symptoms. Further research is needed to determine whether more intensive and integrated care would better serve children.

Randomized Controlled TrialFeasibility of a Cognitive Behavioral Intervention to Manage Fatigue in Individuals With Traumatic Brain Injury: A Pilot Study.
To evaluate the feasibility of conducting a randomized clinical trial of an Internet-based manualized intervention to teach individuals with traumatic brain injury to manage their fatigue. ⋯ Findings from the study suggest that the MAX intervention is feasible to administer to individuals with post-traumatic brain injury fatigue.
