Randomized Controlled TrialExtension traction treatment for patients with discogenic lumbosacral radiculopathy: a randomized controlled trial.
To investigate the effects of lumbar extension traction in patients with unilateral lumbosacral radiculopathy due to L5-S1 disc herniation. ⋯ The traction group receiving lumbar extension traction in addition to hot packs and interferential therapy had better effects than the control group with regard to pain, disability, H-reflex parameters and segmental intervertebral movements.

Randomized Controlled TrialUse of a goal setting intervention to increase adherence to low back pain rehabilitation: a randomized controlled trial.
To examine the effects of a goal setting intervention on self-efficacy, treatment efficacy, adherence and treatment outcome in patients undergoing low back pain rehabilitation. ⋯ The findings provide partial support for the use of goal setting to enhance adherence in clinical rehabilitation.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative StudyEvaluation of rehabilitation of memory in neurological disabilities (ReMiND): a randomized controlled trial.
The evidence for the effectiveness of memory rehabilitation is inconclusive. The aim was to compare the effectiveness of two group memory rehabilitation programmes with a self-help group control. ⋯ There results show few statistically significant effects of either compensation or restitution memory group treatment as compared with a self-help group control. Further randomized trials of memory rehabilitation are needed.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative StudyEffects of Functional Fascial Taping on pain and function in patients with non-specific low back pain: a pilot randomized controlled trial.
To compare the short-term and medium-term effect of Functional Fascial Taping to placebo taping on pain and function in people with non-specific low back pain. ⋯ Functional Fascial Taping reduced worst pain in patients with non-acute non-specific low back pain during the treatment phase. No medium-term differences in pain or function were observed.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyA prospective, multicentre, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of onabotulinumtoxinA to treat plantarflexor/invertor overactivity after stroke.
To examine the safety and efficacy of onabotulinumtoxinA (Botox) for plantarflexor overactivity following stroke. ⋯ OnabotulinumtoxinA injection for ankle flexor overactivity after stroke was safe and well tolerated but did not alter local spasticity at 12 weeks; it did reduce spasms and improve gait quality. There were no detectable differences between higher and lower doses. A second injection may be associated with greater change.
