Randomized Controlled TrialAssessment of efficiency of mirror therapy in preventing phantom limb pain in patients undergoing below-knee amputation surgery-a randomized clinical trial.
Phantom limb pain (PLP) is a major cause of physical limitation and disability accounting for about 85% of amputated patients. Mirror therapy is used as a therapeutic modality for patients with phantom limb pain. Primary objective was to study the incidence of PLP at 6 months following below-knee amputation between the mirror therapy group and control group. ⋯ Mirror therapy reduced the incidence of phantom limb pain when administered pre-emptively in patients undergoing amputation surgeries. The severity of the pain was also found to be lower at 3 months in patients who received pre-emptive mirror therapy.

Randomized Controlled TrialEffect of different doses of epidural dexmedetomidine on reducing visceral traction reaction for cesarean section: a double-blind randomized controlled trial.
This study aimed to evaluate the effect of different doses of epidural dexmedetomidine on reducing visceral traction reaction for cesarean section under epidural anesthesia. ⋯ It is suggested that 0.5 μg/kg epidural dexmedetomidine can be used as adjuvant to epidural ropivacaine during cesarean section, because of its alleviating visceral traction reaction, moderate sedating, and reducing shivering without thirst increase.

Randomized Controlled TrialModified thoracoabdominal nerve block through perichondrial approach (M-TAPA) vs local infiltration for pain management after laparoscopic cholecystectomy surgery: a randomized study.
Modified thoracoabdominal nerves block through perichondrial approach (M-TAPA) targets thoracoabdominal nerves. Our primary aim was to compare M-TAPA vs local infiltration on pain management in patients underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) surgery. ⋯ M-TAPA provides superior analgesia compared to LI in patients undergoing LC.

Randomized Controlled TrialSedation efficacy of different dose of remimazolam with sufentanil for nerve block in young and elderly patients: a randomized, controlled study.
Anxiety and pain commonly occur during nerve block, we aimed to investigate the sedation efficacy of different doses of remimazolam with sufentanil in young and elderly patients. ⋯ Remimazolam 0.08 mg/kg provided the best sedation efficacy in young patients while remimazolam 0.04 mg/kg with the trend of less respiratory adverse events was more optimal for elderly patients.

Randomized Controlled TrialA comparative study on the efficacy and safety of propofol combined with different doses of alfentanil in gastroscopy: a randomized controlled trial.
Propofol can be used alone or in combination with opioids during gastroscopy. This study aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of intravenous propofol and different doses of alfentanil in patients undergoing gastroscopy. ⋯ Intravenous 1.5 mg/kg propofol combined with 3 μg/kg alfentanil is more suitable for patients undergoing gastroscopy, and the dose of alfentanil can be reduced according to the patient's actual physical condition.
