A meta-analysis of the prognostic significance of CDKN deletions in acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.
B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (B-ALL) and T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (T-ALL) are both types of acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL), which is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow characterized by the rapid proliferation of immature lymphocytes. In ALL, CDKN gene deletions have been extensively studied regarding their prognostic significance. The purpose of this meta-analysis is to determine whether there is a consistent relationship between CDKN gene variations and the incidence of lymphocytic leukaemia. ⋯ Our meta-analysis revealed that CDKN gene deletions (including CDKN 2A/B, CDKN 2A) serve as adverse prognostic indicators for T-ALL/B-ALL patients.

The burden of carbapenem-resistant gram-negative bacteria (CRGNB) among solid organ transplant (SOT) recipients has not been systematically explored. Here, we discern the risk factors associated with CRGNB infection and colonization in SOT recipients. ⋯ Our study demonstrated that SOT recipients with CRGNB infections had a higher mortality risk. Invasive procedure may be the main factor contribute to CRGNB infection.

Circulating plasma cells as a predictive biomarker in Multiple myeloma: an updated systematic review and meta-analysis.
Circulating plasma cells (CPCs) are defined by the presence of peripheral blood clonal plasma cells, which would contribute to the progression and dissemination of multiple myeloma (MM). An increasing number of studies have demonstrated the predictive potential of CPCs in the past few years. Therefore, there is a growing need for an updated meta-analysis to identify the specific relationship between CPCs and the prognosis of MM based on the current research status. ⋯ Our meta-analysis confirmed that the increased number of CPCs had a negative impact on the PFS and OS of MM patients. Therefore, CPCs could be a promising prognostic biomarker that helps with risk stratification and disease monitoring.

Tension-type headache is the most common type of primary headache and results in a huge socioeconomic burden. This network meta-analysis (NMA) aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of simple analgesics for the treatment of episodic tension-type headache (ETTH) in adults. ⋯ Simple analgesics are considered more effective and safe as a placebo for ETTH in adults. Our results suggest that ibuprofen and diclofenac-K may be the two best treatment options for patients with ETTH from a comprehensive point of view (both high-quality evidence).

Portable robots for upper-limb rehabilitation after stroke: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Robot-assisted upper-limb rehabilitation has been studied for many years, with many randomised controlled trials (RCTs) investigating the effects of robotic-assisted training on affected limbs. The current trend directs towards end-effector devices. However, most studies have focused on the effectiveness of rehabilitation devices, but studies on device sizes are relatively few. ⋯ Although portable upper-limb rehabilitation robots are clinically beneficial, few studies have focused on portability. Further research should focus on modular design so that rehabilitation robots can be decomposed, which benefits remote rehabilitation and household applications.
