The effects of massage therapy to induce sleep in infants born preterm.
The aim of this study was to determine whether massage therapy can be used as an adjunct intervention to induce sleep in infants born preterm. ⋯ Massage is well tolerated in infants born preterm and infants do not fall asleep faster after massage than without massage.

The effect of ivacaftor in adolescents with cystic fibrosis (G551D mutation): an exercise physiology perspective.
The purpose of this report was to evaluate the influence of 12 weeks of ivacaftor treatment on the aerobic function of 2 teenage patients with cystic fibrosis (CF; ΔF508/G551D) using a maximal cardiopulmonary exercise test. ⋯ Cardiopulmonary exercise testing represents an important and comprehensive clinical assessment tool, and its use as an outcome measure in the functional assessment of patients with CF is encouraged.

The Section on Pediatrics (SoP) convened an Education Summit in July 2012 to examine, discuss, and respond to documented inconsistencies and challenges in teaching pediatric physical therapy (PT) content in entry-level professional education programs.
